Comfortable without really getting out of 2nd/3rd gear.  Important to give M'Vila, Maja, Philips and Reach more minutes.
Reach had a good game and was probably man of the match.

I'm normally berating the use of Townsend and Reach but I agree he was excellent in that game. I'd be happy to see more of that. My wife was killing herself laughing at me for saying how good Reach was - "I can't believe you're saying that!"

I love being wrong. Sometimes.

Doesn't really alter their season. Its Norwich, Coventry who might have lost out.

Well absolutely but if that decision had been against us I'd have been incensed. Not bothered about Norwich, Coventry, it's up them to win their games as much as it is up to us to win ours. I'm just feeling a bit of injustice, doesn't sit well at all.

Anyone feel inclined to pop over to the Rotherham Forum and say sorry for the referee?

How bad is BTA seriously. Very much a £300k League 2 striker. Praying Maja stays fit

I've now sold myself on different position, different player....

No no no, Yacob was scruffy but physical and ran all day.

I'm seeing that link.

BTA got to finish that pal!

Beggars belief. Love BTA, he should be an out and out midfielder. He can run he just can't shoot.

That wasn't a Penalty debatable If it was even Handball, We didn't even appeal, I ay even happy that was given, If that was against us I would be angry harsh on all 170 Rotherham fans

I do agree, it was ridiculous on all counts. However we've had some shocker ref decisions this season so I'll roll with it.

Oh yes. We look like truly ferocious play off contenders.

Can't wait for the mauling.

The owner has openly admitted, that with any new venture that he is new to, he employs those that know what they’re doing. He has already openly backed Carlos. We really don’t need an owner making knee-jerk decisions. I don’t think our new owner does. Just look at the Blues.

Agree.

Yes we don't know Shilen Patel but I'm pretty confident he will only change in areas that need changing. Nothing to see here.

Not having a go at yourself Gazberg as you didn't start this angle but it appears to me that some of our fans unable to complain about the present league position have resorted to complaining about a future event that has not materialised, which is classic Albion bah humbug mentality.

We are in a strong position and having a very good season. Not much else to say at this stage.

Agreed and very well put. Nor should we say more at this stage. Let's stop hitting the panic buttons and see shall we? Jesus H, we've just got some new owners and are finally out of a very precarious position. Let's all calm down and stop being like the Vile.

Nine unbeaten with four wins in that spell in a hyper competitive league. Not exactly a crisis is it. Let’s face it, all the teams below us would snap our hands off to swap positions.

Well put. Thanks for the different perspective.

BTA completely useless today, needs dropping in favour of Blind Dave. CC's subs come too late and cost us another goal.

Wake up Albion.

It's a left to right interpretation of the formation, and includes the goalie. It's basically a 4-3-3 but Motta does snazzy things like pushing both CBs into the midfield and having the full backs moving inwards to be "fully back", as they were in the W-M formation of yesteryear.

That sounds bizarre... but exciting!

Wallace is captain for a reason. He gives leadership on the field which every succesful team needs. Otherwise, the only leaders are Bartley, Palmer and Townsend who are all defenders. These are players who pick others up when the going gets tough.

Its debatable whether Weimann is better as a No.9.  Weimann has good goal poachers qualities, but Wallace covers a lot more ground, which is important for playing a high press.

Behind all of that. Wallace is integral to us.

Was Trev The Shed not the Director at Albion, Trevor Summers? Not sure?

He was. The gent who sparked this thread by chatting to me on Sunday went on to tell me how partial Big Ron was to 'Ladies of the Night'.

Allegedly.

Maybe a better story - I was sat in a bar on Zakynthos about ten years ago and got talking to this bloke about football in general.

After a bit of chatting he told me he was Gordon West's son and had met Jeff Astle and Bomber Brown when he was a kid! What a coincidence to meet someone like that.

Anyone got any more chance meeting stories?

I live in St. Anne's, just outside of Blackpool, and while I was in a pub last night I got talking to an elderly but cheerful chap who clearly has a Black Country accent. In not time at all I found out he was a lifelong Baggie . He was at the 54 Cup Final (as were my dad's parents - my nan was secretary of the supporter's club at that time) but he topped the conversation off with the fact that his cousin was Trev the Shed.

Just surreal to have that chat 120 miles away from the hallowed ground! Highly enjoyable chat...

So it is. Silly me. It had been a long day  ;D

No worries, the point and the problem remains the same.

It negatively impacts the supporters... do they realise we are the reason for the game?

P.S. hope you get some decent kip  ;)

Well that's almost certainly scuppered my chances of making that match now they've changed the kick off time.

I'm gigging the night before (ironically just outside Preston).

Gutted, I'd really been looking forward to that one.
