Corberan has got us where we are on ZERO funding.

Let's celebrate that. We know where we are now for next season so let's look forward to what we build there.

Shockingly bad performance all the same though.

They’ve walked through us there

Poor too watch tonight

Pretty much what I was gong to put. They had the run of the pitch without any intervention at all.

3
Palmer's had a mare tonight. Appalling from him, he looks unusually out of his depth.

4
COYB!!!!!

I'll echo the sentiments of jimmyj and blowee... we've had a great season with everything considered.

I'd love it to go our way tonight but whichever division we are in next season, I'm proud to be a Baggie today... and looking forward optimistically!

Yup just re-watching old PO games and Leeds Derby, Leeds were in complete control until a defensive mix up allowed Derby back in the game they eventually turned it around

Speaking of, no one gave Derby a prayer to the turn the tie around so we must go in with belief we can do it!

Ah, Derby are rubbish in playoffs.
.... oops.

7
We're going to smash these 4-0 away from home and end the tie.

Half a pint of what you're on, matey. Don't think I could do a whole one....  :)

8
Sky are desperate for that to be the final

So Albion Norwich would be a dream come true, eh? Gits.

* Can I say gits....?

If we had a decent centre forward (or one that wasn't constantly crippled) then you could easily make the case that he'd be nearing 20 assists this season. His delivery is constantly very good.

I reckon we'd have been top two.

Tom definitely deserves better from all the skillful crosses he puts in.

Terrible terrible terrible. I fear for the 2nd leg when so much was wasted here today.

You mean the Leeds game, right?

Our team played brilliantly.

12
I see that Mark Lawrenson, is saying that WBA is the best team in the playoffs, kiss of?? Or not

Exactly my thoughts when I read it... I hope he comes good for us for once.

13
Heeeeeeey Russell Martin, ooooooh aaaaah.

I wanna know ooooh oh oh,

Why you're such a C (heese)?

That's me singing it until late Sunday afternoon....

Southampton are the worst team we could have ended up with for those.

Very true. We need a blinder of a performance this weekend.

The last two seasons kits have been exceptional. Navy and white and no additional colours or stupidity. My understanding is they were designed by fans and it showed. If Macron are our new supplier hopefully the same design input is forthcoming. Navy and white, no additional colours, no idiotic design extravaganza, stripes et al.

A few recent kits have looked like we have given crayons and paper to chimpanzees....

I love this forum. It's reassuring to know there are other saft uns in this world.

Given our entire league campaign has not been co governed by VAR I see no reason why it should be used in the playoffs OR the playoff final. I honestly don't see why it should be used during FA Cup games played at Premier League venues when it's not available to EFL clubs during the rest of the competition either. Let's be honest, the VAR usage in the Huddersfield v Forest playoff final was nothing less than an utter joke anyway.

VAR is a nonsense. I'm worried more about you though Dan, there wasn't a single joke in that post. Is it nerves?

I agree KYA so long as we don’t get those players nicked from us by the predators above before we’ve realised any value from them.

And I agree as well about not knowing what we want, because the PL is not fundamentally based on having the best coaches or recruitment. We can never win it, or even compete at the top end of it, and that’s equally true for more than half the clubs in it. If we get back there it will mostly be a miserable survival struggle.

So why bother, other than for cold, financial reasons that have nothing to do with why we love our clubs? And that’s a big problem for the game, which the FA has helped to create and does absolutely nothing to address.

We are long overdue a proper regulator in the wider interests of the sport - the FA is too compromised by its involvement in the creation of the PL in the first place and has now found itself overpowered by the big franchises it helped to unleash at the top. They are incapable of regulating in the wider interests of the game.

And that is why the game is where it is, and why clubs like Albion have no real chance of winning anything anymore. And even smaller clubs have no dreams.

I've only just read this, what a great post.

When he first came he was a liability, definitely benefited from CCs coaching

CC transformed him.

I'd not be happy to lose him now.

And to add to that they were the best team i have seen at the Hawthorns this season.

Unfortunately I totally agree. Final position aside, I think they are the best team in the league.

But we have in my opinion the best manager and I think our squad is going to give it their all. That's all I'm asking for. Glad we've got to this point.

Even if we did win the playoffs which would be brilliant, the gulf in class between the Championship and the Premier League is huge and likely we would be thrashed every week.

One only has to look at last year’s promotion teams to see the evidence as each one face relegation. Occasionally, you get an exception such as Brentford or Forest but they built a good squad and survived the drop but only just for the time being.

Not wanting to get ahead of anything... but the jury is out for me right now because we just don't know what Shilen Patel's Albion is going to be.... in either division. I'd rather see us in the Premiership to help the funding, disappointing football or not.

Spot on Standaman - take a bow. Unfortunately we didn’t do it before the 3 last games so had us sweating.

Today was thrilling all because of it though.

Please do it Albion!!! Give Shilen some extra funds to build us back to what we were....

Those awaiting a failure can put the knives back into the kitchen draw, for now.

Well done CC, a brilliant job.

He got them well organised and really up for it. This is the Albion I want to see for the next (!!!) three games.....

Thank you King Carlos.

I reckon 73 would be enough, but ideally I'd take 75.

How am I doing?

This is very winable.

Hopefully, I will have three more opportunities to bite the remainder of my nails off.
