Take it we will play him at Full Back/Wing Back to give us more energy on the flanks?

All the media saying he's only coming here so he can play in midfield.
Proud to be a Baggie. BOING BOING.

Was a centre mid who was shoe-horned into a full back role. Would imagine he will be in the middle.
Rightly, Allardyce has seen enough of Livermore and Sawyers. Just a shame we have run out of time for a centre back.

Cracking signing- it’s a calculated gamble but this is a lad who has genuine ability for this level unlike Sawyers and Livermore.

Wolves we’re prepared to pay £15m for him in the summer so a loan deal to energise us is a real steal.

Hoping we might go on to get a free agent in for centre half after the transfer deadline work is done.

Yoksulu, Maitland Niles, Gallagher look a better midfield than Sawyers, Livermore, Krovinovic.

I just hope we really do go and compete each week now and get some hard earned points to hang in there.

In the midfield 3 or worst case he can play full back. As long as he is playing I am sure that's better than what he is getting at arsenal.

If all these signings ensure Livermore sawyers axis doesnt happen and stops us playing Phillips as often I'm all for it
O Albion we love you

Perhaps the main reasons he came were that he would be getting more playing time than elsewhere, and secondly because he was given assurances about playing in his favoured midfield position.

I think this will be a really good signing - he offers us versatility in that he can either cover central midfield or right back.

It is also abundantly clear that Allardyce is not happy with the middle of the pitch. We might see an improvement in our defenders if we can actually provide them with some protection.

Here we go. Just what we didn’t want.  Niles still on for West Brom but situation is ‘fluid’. Ssn reckon possibly another club has joined the race

MAITLAND-NILES SITUATION ‘FLUID’

Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ is heading North ahead of a potential loan move to West Brom.

However, Sky Sports News has been told that his situation remains ‘fluid’.

It’s thought that another Premier League club could potentially be involved in a bid to land the player as well as West Brom.

Looking fairly definite now if he's completed a medical for us. Surely you can't complete a medical and then sign for someone else :o

I’d trust David Ornstein - who says he’s going back to Arsenal to finalise paperwork after medical - over Rob Dorsett and SSN.
