Fair play to Kenneth if they get this over the line.

(if anybody has seen peep show you'll understand why I've called him Kenneth)

It’s like a leg of lamb.

This place is going to implode if he doesn't join us now........ :-X .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Chuffed with this. Barnsley played some bonkers football at tine last year so im looking foward to some "what the f formation is this" moments hopefully.

Also probably spells the end for livermore being a nailed on started.....beautiful.
I can actually see Livermore coming in after pre season training as fit as a butchers dog, as he did when Bilic first came in, I wouldn't right him off yet.
Sawyers is a totally different kettle of fish, gone I think.
In the beginning there was light.......Followed by the king Jeff Astle.

Don’t think sawyers will have time to stroll around chewing his gum next season

Sawyers has skills that translate to the Championship, if, big if, Ismail can work on his application you never know.

Thank you for posting this link, it was a very interesting interview to watch. I very much hope that it doesn't fall through at this late stage, but I do have some concerns about Valerien being separated from his family and any consequences this might have maybe not that far down the line.

Play him further up the pitch would be a start.

Central midfield needs addressing as last time in Championship the combo of Sawyer's and Livermore were incapable of controlling game's.

For those of you who feel the need to watch more football in the middle of the the Euro's there is the whole of both legs of the Basel v LASK Europa League qualifying round tie on You Tube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DsH_7Qpwlw&t=8011s) which gives you a pretty good idea how Valerian Ismael sets up a team that isn't Barnsley.

They were often outnumbered by teams packing their midfield against us...but yes central midfield certainly needs attention.

It's gone very quiet on this thread over the past 12 hours or so - lots of breath-holding going on I would imagine!  ;D

The media have also gone quiet overnight and this morning. It might be that they have more significant news to impart, but it's embargoed at present?

All pure speculation on my part of course! Like plenty of others, I just want to get everything agreed and announced with regard to Ismael and the sooner the better.

Chance would be a fine thing.
I would imagine it's all about dotting I's and crossing T's at the moment, don't envisage any issue though, will be announced soon enough.

See, now I'm different (surprise, surprise). I work nights so when all this interesting stuff is going on throughout the afternoon I have no knowledge of it till I get up and glance through the internet whenever I get chance through the night.

Its not ideal. Nothing much, Albion related, tends to happen at 3 am so almost every night is incredibly boring.

Said the same. If/when Periera leaves, I’d like to see us at least try and play Sawyers further forward and see if we see a different player.
