Or we just got relegated from the prem and have the foundation for a decent team in the champ for the right manager to grab the club by the scruff of the neck (this is said with awareness of our hierarchy’s chance to scupper it).

Yeah, and if a manager comes in and steers us to promotion he can expect to be rewarded by being given a shoe string budget and then being sacked when the team is struggling in the premiership again. The role is a poisoned chalice.

The longer it goes on the more I think Allardyce will be back for a year, even more so if he is the Manager and not Head Coach!

Appleton has probably made a wise decision by staying where he is but can we now ensure he is never ever considered for a position at WBA again
It's easy to have faith in yourself and have discipline when you're a winner, when you're number one. What you got to have is faith and discipline when you're not a winner.

Mozza and Brunty management duo anyone??

I said this to my old man last week. I don't want it as they're nowhere near ready, but with the way and the speed we recruit we could very well kick off with this duo
Allllllll aboard

I think you might be right. That text bouncing around just prior to Wagner looking nailed on said Dowling had offered his resignation and that Neil was in the shortlist.

Fully expect he will be hired now in lieu of us having anyone else to make decisions.

Truly shambolic isn’t it.

When Allardyce, Wagner, and latterly Appleton decide you’re not a good option, it tells you all you need to know about the ambition to rebuild the squad, because with some sensible spending we should be absolutely bang in the mix for a promotion.

Sadly, this ownership group leads me to one conclusion and that is League One. They will make an absolute hash of this, it’s awful.

Alex Neil the only one desperate enough at the moment it seems.

Well whatever we think we sure will find out very soon. Ken is Apparently addressing the situation with a statement.

I do shudder at the thought ..... I’m hoping for some positive news soon .

If Lai insists on an EFL veteran then I wonder if Dario Gradi is still alive and well.

Maybe Lai’s decided he fancies a go at been manager .... the basket case nature of our ownership I wouldn’t put it past him.

Scharner has thrown his name into the hat. For what role exactly I don’t know but he has just put out a tweet.

I would imagine our next manager is on his way up from Sandbanks as we speak.

As others have eluded to, Lai has cleared the way.
If it was easy, it wouldn't be Albion

The less he spoke the more he heard, why aren't we like that wise old bird?

Definitely worth listening to what he has to offer, probably for Football Director. But would depend on whether he's on the same wavelength as Lai and Ken and what his financial demands are.  But if he has some business experience, he already ticks several boxes.

He has spoken about it on Chris Lepkowskis podcast. He is throwing his name in the hat for Lukes job.

I have been reliably informed (nod, nod, wink, wink) that there is a Chinese manager available.
Good write ups too.
He is from the Everest Kitchen in West Bromwich.

Not heard good things about that bloke. Very tight on the prawn crackers. Should fit In at our place

Vincent Tam at Cardiff had a go apparently - I think I have posted this story before, but what the hell - they were losing 2-0 at half time so he stormed into the dressing room and shouted:

"Who is centre forward?"

"Err, I am" says whoever.

"YOU, CENTRE FORWARD, SCORE MORE GOALS!"

And off he went.
