2021/22 Kit
« on: May 17, 2021, 10:27:54 AM »
Liquidator podcast suggesting we’ve gone with ‘Penguin’ Home Kit next season, navy in the middle with white either side, navy sleeves.

Away to be yellow and dark (probably black) 3rd.

I imagine there will be a ‘no stripes’ meltdown but got to change it up slightly in this era of new kits each season.

Although it's being billed (no pun intended) as a 'penguin' kit - is it not just very thick stripes?
Obviously we need to see it before too much can be said but the classic Regis era kit (that Puma did in their first season) wasn't far off being 3 thick stripes

So it’s the 18/19 kit but the stripes are slightly wider? I’m down with that.

Tbh, i have always thought, that if Albion had to wear a kit not involving stripes, something based on Ajax’s kit would be the one. I always like us to be in proper stripes, but do like this one.

That is absolutely horrendous.

Looks like something you'd see at Ascot.

The shirt needs stripes. Something like this would look good IMO.

Awful. Something Bournemouth would wear.

Looks like applying boilerman logic to the kit, ie so bad it will get talked about

Nice change as long as with the pinstripe kit it is for one season only. Although it is difficult with how many times you can redesign a striped kit.

I would have thought it easier to design a decent striped kit than not. We're not talking about reinventing the wheel. All a kit designer needs to do is make blue and white stripes look like blue and white stripes.

Why do they have to make it so bloody difficult for themselves? New kits don't need to be evolutionary. They just need to vary slightly. People who buy new kits every season would still buy them in most cases.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

I suppose it isn't a total betrayal of the blue and white stripes template.

looks like Bartley going by a rough comparison of the tattoos and beard combo.

I kinda like it... it’s not my favourite but it’s different.

Not really stripes. That's one Smethwick song that's been made redundant.

The only way this shirt could look any worse is if it has a full plain white or blue back

I think we've all got much more fundamental issues to worry about next season than the kit design
