« on: December 06, 2021, 07:07:13 PM »
Not sure where to put this really. If the mods want to move it somewhere more appropriate, please do so.

We have a new media guy/officer whatever! Maybe someone to communicate between the club and the fans better? I have no idea. Villa fan ain't he?

Luke Hatfield

This is my final month working at the @ExpressandStar
after accepting a role within @wba’s media team.

I’ve had a wonderful five years working with some wonderful colleagues, but now is the right time for me to move on.

The 37-year-old has come in to provide backup to Sam Johnston and David Button.

Lonergan joins from Stoke City, where he signed a short-term deal in December and played in the EFL Cup defeat to Tottenham.

The Baggies will be the 14th club of the ex-Liverpool ‘keeper’s career. "

West Bromwich Albion FC / Ron Wylie RIP
« on: April 14, 2020, 05:08:53 PM »

West Bromwich Albion are saddened to learn of the death of former manager Ron Wylie.

Ron, who was in charge at The Hawthorns between July 1982 to February 1984, passed away at the age of 86 following a long illness.

He enjoyed a long and distinguished career, first as a player starting at Notts County – where he played alongside Jeff Astle – before featuring for both Birmingham City and Aston Villa.

Ron actually captained Blues in their FA Cup semi-final against the Baggies in our 1968 clash at Villa Park but service to Albion came after retirement from playing when he succeeded Ronnie Allen as manager at The Hawthorns.

Although his team made a bright start to the 1982-83 campaign, Albion fell away after that and Ron was eventually replaced by Johnny Giles.

But Ron, who also held management posts at Coventry and Villa, remained a familiar figure on the West Midlands football circuit as he took on a scouting roles later in his career.

Everyone at The Hawthorns extends their deepest condolences to Ron’s family and friends at this sad time.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Student season tickets
« on: May 31, 2011, 12:58:38 PM »
Greeetings fellow baggies fans.

I've been offered a place (today) at Uni starting September this year. However at the moment i don't have a NUS card etc yet as it's still months away and only just got in today.

My question is can i apply for a student season ticket before getting my NUS card or will i have to wait to enroll at uni to be able to buy a studet season ticket?

Thanks in advance.
