Not 100% optimistic up here but given the pessimistic view on here it's boosted my confidence a bit to know it's not just Sunderland in a bit of a mess.

Sunderland 1 West Brom 0

The Northern Echo, local rag up here has ran the story this morning that Elmohammady and Sessegnon are to be dropped on Saturday with Cattermole and Wickham replacing them.

http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9277522.Sessegnon_and_Elmohamady_facing_the_axe/

If this turns out to be true then I'd expect to see something like:

Mignolet

O'Shea Brown Turner Richardson

Larsson Cattermole Gardner Vaughan

Bendtner Wickham

or

Mignolet

O'Shea Brown Turner Richardson

Gardner Cattermole Vaughan Larsson

Bendtner Wickham

Both of those teams look more than decent on paper, i still think Conor Wickham is too young for the prem. Be intresting to see David Vaughan, thanks for the update mate  ;)

remember being stood outside the brummie at 6 am waiting for hats coaches to roker park in the snow. happy days though big cyrille and ally brown scored in a 2-1 win. no more than 200 albion there that day.

Graeme Fenton scoring a cracker and Dingle Don being abused for 90 minutes in front of the newly demolished smethwick end.

Losing 2-1 at Roker earlier that season and the whole place feeling really intimidating.

we need to turn the home crowd on the players and get a grip of the game, if we sit back then i feel a 3-0 loss coming on, confident were going to get a good result here.

The only time I've been to the SOL was the 97/98 season - the first time we had played there.
I remember we were totally outplayed and lost 0-2. ::)

Last season was just pure fantastic, journey there, the party on the concourse, the atmosphere during the game and our performance. It was actually one of the best Albion atmosphere's I've witnessed away from home. A very good performance just capped it all off. Would love to relive that day.
Except for our "magic" coach driver who watched all the other coaches turn right and thought ill go left it must be the right way adding another 40 mins on the journey ...dick..

I'd say Cattermole to get sent off but we've got to cross the half way line first!  :D

we didn't have 24,000 for the simple fact that we are only a 26,000 seater stadium and Fulham only brought about 600?

why not instead of everyone moaning about our support all the time can't they praise the people who go.

Under 1,000? Where did you hear that?  I'll be there, maybe a more concentrated number will generate a better atmosphere.
