apparently its a 1.6 meter slope from the Brummie to the smethwich.
so why dont Albion lower the Brummie end of the pitch and add some extra rows of seats?

we can relocate else where in the smethwich but as said in another post seats can be hard to get hold of, especially 3 seats together, if we cant get the seats we want Albion will knock 50 quid off my ticket and 25 off my kids tickets to sit in another part of the ground

bloody ell >:(

West Bromwich Albion FC / lost my season ticket seat!!!
« on: May 05, 2011, 05:05:56 PM »
just got home from work and found a letter on the door mat from WBA saying that i'll be unable to renew my season ticket seat due to a new pitch being layed, the letter says that a number of seats at the front of the smethwich end will have to be removed, next season would have been my 4th in the smethwich end, iv made some great friends there to, Paul, sam, Claire.
we sit next to the away fans aswel and we all join in giving the away fans stick, its absolutely brilliant!!

my son, daughter and i are deeply deeply upset about this, especially my little girl who has even cried because she thinks that she'll never see Claire again

i know we need a new pitch but why remove seats?

just read this on "the-wolf" lol

First they clawed back that huge points diff and pipped us to promotion, then a couple o yrs later they beat us in the play off semi's, and now their going to dance all oer us in our own back yard.

Can't believe we have thrown our premiership status away.... ANYONE who believes the lack of confidence, skill, determination is suddenly going to turn on its head for this one are going to be very disappointed... please remove your gold tinted glasses...and prepare yourselves for a fckn DOWNER OF A WEEKEND.

not over confidence are they lol

He's actually a Port Vale fan. Don't ask me how I know that :-[.

Did a quick Google search and it turns out Stokes most famous fan is Julian Clarey!

As far as I know because we did the East Stand on the cheap (see all the cracks on the floor) and the foundations wont allow for a second tier. Best thing to do in the long term is sort the Halfords out but I can't imagine it happening anytime soon.
no wonder Megson got rid of him lol

after some research, halfords lane cant be developed because of that hire firm(hawdens i think) to  developed halfords lane the club need the ground which the road and hawdens sits on, in the past WBA have offered hawdens 2M to move but they turned it down saying what i said in a earlier post.

if we stay up for the next 4-5 years and fill what we've got, then i can see us building a new stand, but thats down to 3 factors
1 we are premier league
2 we fill the ground every game
3 hawdens let us >:(

2,500 seats is to many for away fans, drop it to say, 1,700 - 2,000 and give the rest to home fans
and if we fill those extra seats, plus the other seats around the ground, for every game then start thinking about a bigger stand

i might be wrong but we tried to build a new halfords years ago but that hire company put a block on it saying that they were staying put because of easy access to the motoway network, JP should buy the land next to the cricket club and offer it to Hawdens, just an idea

I can't have a conversation about football with a glory hunter as their opinions normally stem from what sky sports or talksport say, they just don't get what its about.

spot on mate, spot on!!

some just pick a team because they watch a 5.0 brubbing on the telly
they've got no connection with a club we have, i was 8 when i found out that West Brom were call strollers because they walked to Wednesbury to buy a ball
i was born in Wednesbury, and as an 8 year old that was the best thing in the world :'(

love the Albion and no glory hunter on this planet will ever feel that for a team they picked off the telly! i feel sorry for them

Albion Matchday Forum / Re: MOTD Coverage
« on: April 24, 2011, 01:04:27 AM »
The coverage of us once again was a joke. Its about time the BBC had a complete clear out of the pundits and brought in fresh faces. The Football League show is much better, but I would just love to see the likes of Lineker, Hansen and Lawrenson relegated to covering league one and two sides for next season.

i was **** off being the last but one game

but after reading Jonah's post iv got a smile on me face  :D
