Utterly incompetent.
So what is our sales pitch to the new manager. "I know your at least 3rd choice, but we can't think of anyone else.

...and 'you are only sat here because you are a free agent'

I can't keep up with this.

Beginning of the week it was Wilder, yesterday it turned out we actually had turned to Wagner. Now it's not Wagner (why? Must have missed that) and it's someone else, maybe McInnes?

Lack of appetite for the promotion push and wanting to remain closer to family in Germany apparently.

I thought it was bad enough going in for wilder. Not being able to get wagner in through the door is somehow even worse. Embarrassing. Sack the lot of the board they are useless.

Can't really blame Wagner for going to somewhere that they play in Europe and are likely to win the league each season. Easy way to add trophies to a CV that's taken a hit over the last few seasons.

Lack of appetite for the promotion push and wanting to remain closer to family in Germany apparently.

Which could be interpreted as "Flat wage, but massive promotion bonus".

Young Boy's probably make a more sensible offer.

Bloody typical this. Bought my Ride of the Valkeries CD earlier especially. Don't know whether to cancel the order of napalm or just store it in the coal house for next time. Decisions decisions, oh I'm just so konfewzed by it all. Might download the Hokey Cokey while I think about it......

Different reasons. But a total lack of football knowledge or general wisdom lacking in ALL cases.

Seem to be a lot of manager deals falling at the final hurdle at the moment. Clubs shaking the piggy bank and getting worried?

The board must have been confident that they could of hired Wagner as they wouldn’t have released the stuff about Lai rejecting Wilder, not a chance Wilder comes in now.

They really are a circus this lot running the club, absolute incompetent clowns.

I wouldn't say Palace have a lack of football knowledge, Steve Parish has been round the block a few times

Perhaps our past record of hiring and firing managers at the drop of a hat has caught up with us.  No decent manager will come here because after a short run of loses he will probably get the sack.

It seems a bit too early for the pantomine season, but West Brom have started theirs early.

However, pantomines have a happy ending, I can't see all this ending happily !!

Really?

What he says means pretty much nothing and has no depth to it at all.

Nixon is one of them throw hundreds of darts at the board and occasionally he"ll be lucky enough to get one right.

I agree.

Athletic have just done an update where it says he wants to stay in Germany and also feels Swiss club is a better opportunity which it is.

Says Lampard holding out for a PL job along with Howe.

They are not interested in Neil because of last time.

Its either going to be someone unexpected( rubbish) like McInnes or the board manage to persuade Lai to pay compensation for one of the ones they want.

Alex Neil for me is the worst of all options that have been mentioned. Can’t say why just wouldn’t have any great confidence in him . Still don’t know why Lampard hasn’t been offered the job yet , given who the club has apparently rejected / been turned by .

Can't see any manager with even a minute amount of self esteem wanting this job. It appears the Ring Leader at the Circus has lost control of the Clowns!!
This will continue to be a ****show until the board and Lai are gone. The club lacks any focus, direction and Leadership. We are ambling into obscurity.

It's true, who would want to manage this mess AND while in the EFL?

You can take your "its better for us to be a big fish in a small pond" nonsense elsewhere for me.

Probably get away with one or the other but when you both going on it's slim pickings.

Wagner has, as far as we know, not yet accepted the job. If he has now become aware of the circumstances around his rise to "favourite" status then he may decline. If he comes on here, then he will surely decline. It is clear that we are doing this on the cheap.
Next favourite Alex Neil , no ******* thank you, i'll take Wagner.
Called it yesterday morning...............knows he is not wanted.
