Any chance someone can nip up to the ground and give Don Goodman a kick when he’s finished running us down after 90mins.

I thought Dwight Gayle was quite good.

I'd take him now.

I just can't get my head around the decision to play an untested system on our first game back in the premier league. Not only was it untested but it alienated many of the players - Pereira and Diangana were pushed high but whenever they got the ball, there was little to no support other than each other with Leicester players swarming around them. Robinson was left on his own when inevitably we got deeper and Pereira and Diangana dropped deep to get the ball. Livermore tried but Sawyers looked lost in the middle as he was unable to sit and dictate the pace of the game when we had possession like he had done the previously.

The one thing that stands out to me is that I dont actually know what our style of play is. The teams that have come up and done well all have a distinct way of playing - Sheff Utd, Wolves and probably this year Leeds. Whereas, ourselves and Fulham to an extent, we kind of knock it about nicely but then sometimes counter attack (hence being better away from home) but I honestly couldn't describe our style.

This is spot on for me. we've hugely lost our way and if Slav is going to change formation all the time now we just don't have the quality of players to do this. They struggle to cope with one system nowadays. It was painfully obvious when he went to a back 4 yesterday after the goal that they hadn't got a clue what to do and we just surrendered position to the opposition.

For me press and press hard, this only requires high fitness levels and not a huge skill level. We just aren't good enough to play it around looking for the killer pass, it just never comes.

He was just a big shoulder shrug towards the end as the gulf in quality between the teams became horribly apparent. We lack quality for what is a brutal league: He knows, the fans know, the board knows, the opposition knows.

I think that’s the hardest part, pretty much everyone involved with the club knows this team doesn’t stand a chance of survival unless a serious miracle happens.

Very depressing and going to be a truly awful season.

Like a lot of people I don’t think naming and shaming players will do any good. They’re just not good enough for this level of football I’m afraid.

The issue is they did have a great start to last years champ and produced some great football, last Christmas onwards though it was hard to watch in almost every game and Slav has to take some blame as he can’t get them back to the pre Christmas performance levels.

Slav might just think this isn’t for him now. He doesn’t look as energised as last year at all.

Slav needs to be aware that when the team can’t defend it’s going to be a tough afternoon if you set up that defensive. Leicester have three of their first choice defence out injured.

I’d rather we just went for it then play like this. Just woeful.

Also you have to question our fitness levels, we’re miles away.

Everything is just too slow, it’s like the team can’t do a thing quickly.

It’s only the first game but I don’t think we’re seeing anything that people didn’t expect.

Wilder has done well, and a blinding first prem season.

It will be interesting to see how they fair this year but the purchasing of players like Burke wont help second season syndrome one bit.

For me they could be top 10 or bottom 3 i just don't know with them. There are a lot of teams, us included who could struggle this year.

It would seem Villa have learnt nothing after last year. They'll have blown over £200m in 3 windows.

Bit non plussed.

Getting Burke off the books is a bonus based on what he has produced here, but Callum Robinson just isnt very good. If he was Wilder wouldn't be swapping him for Burke.

Championship player.

Simple question, who do you think will do more for us this season?

Wilder plays a type pf football that only certain players fit, look at the two Derby players he's just brought, most people wouldn't touch them. He thinks he can turn Burke then great, it certainly isn't happening at Albion. Robinson hasn't had a prem chance so lets give him a go before we right him off.

At times last season Burke would have been worth a few minutes and id be in no rush to say Callum Robinson is necessarily better than Burke.

Robinson changed games when he came on for us, Burke couldn't change a lightbulb.

For a record signing I don't think I've seen a worse player, his loan spell in Scotland was terrifying. Even at that level he looked pedestrian. He's one of those players that as he gets older he gets worse not better I'm afraid.

He'll be League one/two in a couple of years.

if the straight swap for Robinson goes ahead I think Wilder may just be about to come unstuck after a brilliant run.

For me a nice 70s style stripes  home would be lovely.

A full white number with red socks as a second

A full black as a third

Who will be the sponsor? I'm going gambling site.

Livermore giving a great interview. The pressure just got to them.

It might well be a blessing in disguise this. Nobody at the club should be under any illusions about what the team requires now.

Well done Albion, you never make it easy.

But I love you.

Sawyers can’t come out for the second half can he?

What has happened to him?

Is this the worst anyone’s felt about a promotion or relegation?

Honestly the great escape felt nothing like this. I feel sick.

To say we look shot is an understatement. Have to blame Slav for this, he’s not prepared them for this at all. They’re all over the place.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Psychology (fans and players)

Friday was a perfect example of pressure, an early goal against us and tiredness. A perfect storm.

The pressure just crushed most of the players and Slav just couldn't find a way to lift them, this is worrying, especially with a goal just before half time should have done his job for him.

Had we have scored the early goal that would have been a 3 nil win to the good guys all day.

Some players looked shot, Sawyers looks like he can barely lift his legs.

Psychology is what separates the winners from the losers a lot of the time, the winning mentality. Lets just hope on Weds the relief of a HUGE second chance gives them an extra yard against QPR. It really should.

With our strike force and keeper it's a miracle we're this close to promotion.

You can’t argue with that statement.

Whatever happens I can’t see us starting next season with any of them in the first team.

Yep credit to them. They had a couple of small wobbles but winning that Barnsley game when they were given a right run shows character. I’ll say this their fitness levels compared to ours is embarrassing.

I put £100 on a Brentford win to ease the pain. Happy to lose that. How much do I put on QPR Wednesday is the question? 😂😂😂

This has the feeling of one of those games where we could play until midnight and probably only have one decent chance. Dreadful game.
