It’s a joke. Completely devalues it.

Stupid idea,  it already affects domestic leagues too much already. So only 1 in every 4 years will be free from either the World cup or Euros.

The "bigger" teams will suffer, because their main players will be expcted to play for their respective national sides.
This may be the undoing of the top six Premiership sides etc.

Sounds brilliant.  Hopefully that 1 year will be the Olympics year.

Reports are that 3 confederation heads have come out against the plan. UEFA,  South America being 2 obvious ones, I'd imagine North America being the other.

Still hope it gets defeated, this is a power grab by FIFA to ensure they are maximising their revenue. No idea where other continental competitions fit in this structure.

Sounds good to me.
Only football I watch now is Albion and England so this suits me nicely.

They were against the Qatar WC being moved to winter but soon rolled over.

True, but player welfare made it impossible, the federations knew that. There is no such case to be made here - quite the opposite in fact.

I do however agree that there is a strong possibility that FIFA will do this either way.

The Nordic FA (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Faroe Islands) have made a joint statement saying they will consider leaving FIFA if a World Cup every two years goes ahead.

Think this may be the key word.
It only works if you do it, will anyone have the guts to actually pull out? If so, who will be brave enough to go first?

Utterly ridiculous if this goes according 'plan'.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

So we will have even more disruption from international breaks for the WC qualifiers , as if we haven't already got enough.
