Blues are awful. We're doing a Leeds too fit, too strong for them.

Exceptional from Zohore then, winning the ball on the half way line, running to the byline before a perfect pull back for Tulloch to score the 4th

I had to do a double take. Zohore not just running but holding someone off.

A real remember ‘where you were when’ moment

Even if it was an uninspiring blues side we played, can only beat whats in front of you. Excellent signs there today and reasons for optimism! Keep it going next friday lads.

Blues were absolutely shocking to be fair. They will go down if they dont improve from that.

We were Ok. Nothing too much more than that but now it gets real. Bring on the season.

Captain Fantastico is back. Proper captain's game today.Well played Jake some good passing including the ball to Robinson for the pen, and as fit as a butchers dog.

We were very good second half, Blues were atrocious.

Our swarm press will get a lot of love in front of a partisan Hawthorns crowd. All of the players seem to have bought in to that. Even at 4-0 the players were still swarming the Blues defence, trying to win the ball high up the pitch.

Some concerns with our quality when we are attacking. A ball Ismael's side's seems to favour is the switch ball from defence to the attacking full back, but we seemed to play it into touch far too often. We also turn the ball over a lot in the final third, possibly because we are trying to play the ball slightly too quickly.

Diangana the best of the front 3, while both Mowatt and Livermore played well in central midfield. I do however feel we need to look at adding more attacking threat in central midfield as for all Livermore did well in his defensive work, I don't think he does enough in attack.

Overall, a positive performance, the 4th goal in particular being great with 2 players who I don't expect to have a big part this season actually doing very well in Zohore and Tulloch.

i will preface this with " based upon the very little i have seen of him" but Tulloch does seem to be one of those rare players who has the instinct for scoring goals. I think the lad has a great future in front of him.

Well mate, that is a pretty dismal summary of a performance that those out there today gave in terms of total commitment to the managers plan. The fitness levels of everyone on the pitch, is staggering, compared to what we have seen in the last two seasons. We looked totally solid all over the pitch, and played at a pace that will just be too much for many teams in the Championship. The front three will cause many teams problems as they are completely interchangeable as well as being very quick.
If you cannot see anything positive coming from todays performance , then you are extremely difficult to please. We obviously still need strength in depth..... but I will go into next Friday's game confident in today's team getting a result

The effect the new manager has had on implementing the desire and organisation into the team seems to shine through and give me hope although the strength in depth of the squad worries me.

I thought we looked strong and fit, particularly in the second half.

Blues were awful but that Albion side is a comfortable top-six side for me, maybe more.

A few more canny additions and we'd be a really good side; we have found our level.

Also nice to see the Blues Burberry riff-raff out in force after the game. That lot could start a fight in an empty room!

A very enjoyable afternoon!

Like Leeds 2 years ago - we will score plenty of goals late in games.

Ps anyone got a link to the goals BCTV didn't want to show replays of the goals - LOL
