Personally, I’d be cap in hand, knocking on Wilders door and hoping he doesn’t slam the door in my face

This isn't what I want, but seeing how we don't want to pay any compo, we may as well twist and gamble on a Brunt/Morrison combo. At least their heart & soul would be in it and they couldn't possibly do much worse than some of the names in the frame! Can they????
I was waiting for someone to come up with that gem. I know we sing Psalm 23........but Jesus Christ!

Update from Radio WM via twitter that they understand that Alex Neil is not under consideration. Well the field gets thinner by the hour. Anybody out there fancy it?

The excuses (from the club?) are in my opinion just a poor attempt to save face. We have known for sometime what an utter shambles the club is and today they seem to have excelled in this area.

Cheers. I have just backed Appleton. It isn't really a market i would usually bet on but I honestly dont see much in the way of viable and realistic alternatives. It may need some compo but I expect a deal could be done with Lincoln and in the circumstances I see Dowling going back to what he knows.

Surely it's got to be a left field option now?! The obvious have either been mentioned or seemingly passed on. Wonder if Dowling has been tempted to return for Bruno Labbadia or we were seriously interested in before Billic.

Dream team made up members of the WestBrom.com board. To be honest with the amount of backroom staff we could also probably get a role ;)

Get in line. If you are lucky you can be my assistant. Looking forward to any recommendations you can make from your Sunday league side. Have you got any young exciting players we can sign that should play as a Cam but we will waste out on the wing to replace Matheus  :P

I see you can get James Morrison at 12/1...that might not be a bad shout for a cheeky fiver. Things are getting desperate we might just go in house.

I've just been looking at 2 German papers for news about Wagner, and one, Kicker,  has Wagner quoted as having had talks with Young Boys,  and being impressed with how they play and develop their young players. Aside from the fact it looks BS, when I saw them v Ajax they played kick and rush, I can't work the timing out. Its todays paper, but the same paper says he looked nailed on for us yesterday.

The other one DerWesten, has a whole series of quotes from Albion fans, all neatly translated into German, saying what a disaster Wagner would be, and that we wanted Wilder or Lampard.
So anyway lads, who says nobody takes any notice of what we write! Anyway, its all water under the bridge now.

I folded my team when i turned 37, couldnt play anymore and none of the lads wanted to take over responsibility! Lazy swines. Did have some decent Cms who played in the midlands combination though  ;D

Sorry i can't work as a number 2, i'll leave it to you!

Didn’t he get them to second place finishes twice?  And left when they were 4th in the league. I’d say that was more than ‘OK’

With no Rangers at the time 2nd should have been a shoe in for Aberdeen.

The only thing I’m fairly confident of is that we will make the announcement in the style of Irvine where it is right before an England game to try and hide the news

Latest betting odds attached

They still have Wagner at 16/1.
He's already been confirmed as manager of Young Boys

Our supposedly high quality, richly paid professional negotiators have been made to look like total amateurs.

Any bloke down the pub could handle negotiations with greater skill and integrity than this collection of overpromoted incompetents.

Wagner has absolutely given them the runaround. In a way you can’t help but admire him for his skill, but we must remember that he hadn’t got much to beat.

Our club is in hands such as these. And people still expect promotion?
