What I cannot get my head around is the negativity regarding former players. It might just be that they are decent managers in spite of their prior association with WBA.
I'm not negative about former players, I just don't believe that being former players should unjustifiably elevate them when their managerial record doesn't warrant it.

Will be Neil or Appleton now.

No chance the board turn to wilder. Lampard will be a no go.

Will either be Neil or they will pay the compensation for Appleton.

I wouldnt mind Appleton.

God knows who will get the job though. Ron Atkinson might be about 110 but might just be interested?

Whatever, the public perception is that those running the club on a day to day basis would be a laughing stock if only things were slightly amusing.

What have we done to deserve these bumbling idiots?

I’m struggling to find the words right now.

Alex Neil or Michael Appleton...

Our club is a complete mess. Worrying times.

And we know it won't be Appleton due to the compensation we would have to pay.

Neil - No
Appleton - No
McInnes - Definitely not.

All of the likely options are just painfully depressing

If it’s not Wagner perhaps we should go for Wenger 🤪

It's only a weak list due to the Board's lack of vision combined with unrealistic restrictions being applied.
I would argue there's little out there but you won't see me defend this regime .

I cannot believe that the standout candidate, Wilder, wasn't
installed the day after relegation.

Absolutely joke scenario.

Dont want any of them, it's like picking between normal dog muck or white dog poo. I'm starting to care as little as Lai.

I think the only option from here is go abroad for a manager who hasn't yet been interviewed!

The club is rotten from bottom to top. I didn’t want Wagner but make your decision and stick to it without leaking it to the press.

The list is depressing and I think it’ll end up being Neil or Terry which both are worse than the Wagner option IMO.

So why are we not considering Lampard? If having to pay compensation is Lai's important criterion, then that's not a problem for him.

We are a laughing stock. The stuff the journos are peddling about Wagner wanting to stay close to Germany is obviously garbage. How would it have got to the point of almost appointing him if that was the case, definitely more to it. I didn’t want Wagner at all but the likes of McInnes/Alex Neil would be far worse. Why on Earth Wilder wasn’t installed weeks ago I do not know, the completely obvious stand out candidate who is available and was interested. Shambles

Utterly incompetent.
So what is our sales pitch to the new manager. "I know your at least 3rd choice, but we can't think of anyone else.

What a complete mess we are.

Does Lai end up with egg on his face if we go for Wilder? If it’s someone else do they assume they were effectively 3rd choice for the job.

What a shambles.

4th choice. Remember Allardyce was our first choice.

If we've not already blown it by this faffing around. I'm reading that Palace are back in the frame for Lampard after Nuno talks broke down.

I can't keep up with this.

Beginning of the week it was Wilder, yesterday it turned out we actually had turned to Wagner. Now it's not Wagner (why? Must have missed that) and it's someone else, maybe McInnes?
