Days like this when you need to dig in certain players go missing , good example being Swift .
That CB clattered Maja yet nobody let him have one back , telling that is .

Poor performance, got lucky with their goal being ruled out when he was clearly onside.

Ref could also have given Furlong a red at the end, some would have done.
Officials awful for both side , that tackle on Maja was assault.

Injuries to key players killing us , I think you can see what Wallace brings when he's not there.
Not sure on the lad from Brighton , hangs on too long.
Desperate for a forward , shoving Swift up top says it all and he was poor all game.

If Faal plays tomorrow away at Peterborough in the FA Cup its a really good test of another level up , most likely up against the highly rated Ronnie Edwards.
Plays and scores again this time against a Div 1 side , well done Mo.

There was no need to over commit like that though at all.

Leicester are probably the best team in the EFL but they ain't anywhere near as good as I expected
Considering the players we have injured and the quality they have we kept them pretty quiet , we did well considering .

I'd rather we try and get that second goal.

The defending however was abysmal.
You can try  for a 2nd without commiting suicide , carbon copy of gambling against Warnock earlier this season .

For all he's done thats twice CC has gambled and lost a game , sometimes a point is enough.

Didn't deserve to lose , maybe not quite enough to win .
Chalobah and Okay didn't really work , the 2nd goal was sloppy and we didn't make enough of our height advantage on set piece routines but that is all I can pick fault with.

Don't like to see red cards but for  me Holgate led with an arm on Wallace , I've seen pens given for shoves like that on Jed too.

Its a difficult one at the moment for potential investors, do you buy mow at a higher price with the chance of a play off spot which could potentially lead to the promised land or do you wait until the club go into admin and get it for peanuts. Its a bit of a gamble either way I guess.
The other arguement is buy it now with some decent players and coach or buy it for peanuts but have to spend a lot to even get to the point we are now .
No brainer in that sense.

People re Faal. If you haven't seen his goal on Friday take a look. The defender made a right mess of a goalkeeper's punt up the pitch, I'd have scored it.

TGH with an assist and an impressive 90 min performance for Bristol City v Coventry.  ::)
Bit harsh on Mo , thats some finish for a novice .
Ingram scored as well Yesterday for Salford.

I watched Faal last week against Stockport , he looked bloody huge compared to them ;D
Didnt play too well but pleased he seems to making a good spell of his loan.

He's in a bit of a dip of form , first time for us.
Stay behind him , he's all we have .

I've been a fan for a while , Val put him in the side too soon as he was nowhere near ready for it .
Seems to have grown into a stronger shape now , if he's going to be welded to the bench then he needs another loan in January instead of losing valuable time.

I do worry we can't cope against physical sides and it showed again Tonight , it reminded me of the Huddersfield game where they defend in numbers and smack us on the break .
Times like this we miss a goal scoring forward.

I  can't get to the game tonight, thinking of watching the official stream, is it worth £10?
Yes if it works well , been a couple of issues this season.
In fairness they do correct them asap.

Papers today said we're talking with Americans. I swear I've heard this a few times before with Lai. I'm not sure whether I can take it seriously but hope it's true.
Any link mate ?

Didn't play so well Today , I expect not having Wallace and Swift starting with him didn't help . He needs to take a second longer when shooting at times , he's a rough diamond and we need to stick with him rather than run him down.

Just seems weird that the opposition seem to score with every shot they have.
The defending in front of him at times has been pathetic  , see Watford's first .
Palmers not perfect but needs some protection.

Defended a bit better 2nd half , the draw was probably a fair result . I think Matt Phillips at LWB has to stop and I'm not keen on the mass subs again but all in all and with whats happening off the pitch the season hasn't been too bad.

« on: September 15, 2023, 06:22:31 PM »
No one is going to put in a decent offer for him after 3 serious injuries in 18 months (the last injury being the worst, and often a career ruiner). He's here until he can enjoy a sustained run without injuries and some form.
I'm hoping his mate at Watford might have a look , they do daft things at Watford ;D .
If Dike can do well for us then great but my gut instinct is a path much like Ish Miller sadly.

If there was 6m on the table in January and we had time to replace him I'd sell , I don't think he's as good as some say and for a young bloke he has picked up a lot of injuries (did his shoulder at Orlando first off ) .
I think he's far too heavy upper body wise too , looking at old Barnsley highlights he seems much slimmer .Just my view.
