For my money still good enough to play for Albion.

Arguably the best player in the Championship and we have picked today a lad who is decent/okay in the Championship.

Should have been offered a new deal IMO.

ALBION returned to action today with a 3-2 defeat by Kidderminster in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the club's training ground.

The Baggies fielded a mixture of senior and young pros and 22 players got 45 minutes under their belts - their first game time in two months.

The hosts fell behind to two quick-fire goals in the 18th and 20th minutes from the Blue Square BET Premier side but Peter Odemwingie immediately reduced the arrears with a 21st-minute penalty. Albion were awarded the spot-kick after Scott Allan's cross was handled in the box.

Harriers restored their two-goal cushion on the half-hour mark before James Hurst, playing right midfield, completed the scoring seven minutes after the break by cutting in from the wing and firing into the bottom left-hand corner.

Albion fielded two different XIs in each half. They lined up as follows:

FIRST-HALF XI: Myhill; Reid, D Daniels, Tamas, Jara Reyes; Allan, Mantom, Morrison, Thomas; Sawyers; Odemwingie.

SECOND-HALF XI: L Daniels; Jones, McAuley, Gayle, Ridgewell; Hurst, Dorrans, Mulumbu, Roofe; Nabi, Fortune.

I'm watching Match of the Day, in the last 5 minutes I've seen two goals by left wingers cutting in that Jerome Thomas would never score, ever.

These players aren't gracing the Etihad, the Emirates or Old Trafford. One plays for Swansea City, the other for Blackburn Rovers. So why should we put up with a one trick pony with no end product? Because he's a good out ball? There are better players out there, at our level, it's not too much to ask for.

Improvements can be made, lets make them this summer...
