from their website, they have dedicated heads of recruitment for France and Belgium, even have their own academy in Paris.

Also found out the owner was an estate agent and a scaffolder before founding the business.

estate agent = schister,
Scaffolder = Lee Hughes

strange combo

I think this is what needs to understood, people have the right to refuse vaccines, mask wearing etc, businesses have the right to refuse use of their premises.

It’s not discrimination it’s everyone exercising their rights.

well said that man !  As I understand it, No-one has a right to access a pub / shop, they are private premises, access is granted at the discretion of the owner.  I therefore assume this applies to Night clubs / hotels / sports grounds other "venues"

also represent Kevin Joshua who we picked up last year as well as former academy player Aksum White.

Thanks, I didnt recognise those names, interesting they (agency) have people covering Belgium and France, cannot see how young lads on the continent get moves to England now? Must just be expanding their operations ???

someone at the Times smells a big pile of excrement and is going to keep poking around IMO.

Good on the S4A group if there are dodgy dealings in the past, I have no problem with them being exposed, as long as it is those who did the dealings and not the club that get hurt.

His agent looks interesting, EYECONIC SPORTS MANAGEMENT LTD, all players in the 18-22 years old bracket, most with decent clubs, also Owen Windsors agent, based on Hagley road,

Been plenty of surprises in the 3 shows so far

does this suggest that you think this isn't pre-ordained?? or, you just hadn't anticipated the script ??

crown jewels being protected from injury it seems.

As things stand, WBAFC showed a loss of circa £23 million in last years accounts.

At some stage we are going to need to make a profit or series of profits to recover that loss, but we don't need to do it now.

If we're selling to generate funds for transfer fees, & we need circa 4 or 5 players: based on what we've seen so far, we won't need anything like the £35 to £40 million estimated returns on the sale of Pereria & Johnstone, & if we do, we might as well keep what we've got.

It makes no sense at all, to sell your most valuable assets to generate cash for transfer fees.
I would agree if the assets didn't have feelings and emotions which affect performance, but they do which changes the whole dynamic

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Matheus Pereira

I'm going to make three assumptions:

1) VI won't change from a standard 3-4-3 with a more traditional centre forward (i.e. not a false 9 or a front two with a 10 behind)
2) Our squad currently has some glaring holes in it.
3) We don't have significant funds to purchase players without selling players first.

If those three things are true, then it makes sense to sell Pereira to strengthen the overall squad.

I like Pereira, but it will be pointless keeping him if VI won't play a formation that gets the best out of him, nor will it benefit us keeping hold of him whilst having inadequate players elsewhere in the team.

That is very true, we all saw how MP's effectivity declined when played out of position, If VI cant play him through the middle we need to maximise what we can get and strengthen and decrease average age of the squad age

That is the situation. Nothing I wrote is an opinion aside from the view that government should not intentionally create 2 tiered societies.

Still not going there ! :-)

As a general point I completely agree with you, just wanted to put it out there that there is no indication of Pereira acting up.

Never tried to imply otherwise, Harmony reigns aboard the good ship (well this thread anyway)

There shouldn't be any consequences. That's the whole point, you cannot create a two tiered society based on an experimental medical intervention that the majority don't need. This is a disease that kills a miniscule proportion of those infected by it.

Not going there, if that is your opinion of the situation you are welcome to it.

Not sure why the discussion has taken this direction. Pereira has been a model pro since arriving at the club.

My fault, I tried to allay the "its simple" as he is under contract theory

It depend if you have been vaccinated surely...

If you haven't then it has the potential to impact all areas of your life.

yes you are right, but those who CHOOSE not to be vaccinated have to deal with the consequences of THEIR decision,
Those who get medical advice not to vaccinate would be so vulnerable that they wouldn't travel in the main I imagine, there may have to be reciprocal arrangements for the exceptions i would imagine.

I already have a vaccine passport and have used it frequently (Yellow fever / Dengue / tetanus / TB / Malaria .....), adding another stamp is not an issue.
It hasn't restricted me in anyway what so ever.

Should be mandated for foreign travel in and out bound IMO

Human rights argument is clap trap in my opinion.

I get it.

There is a Chris Fewtrell who writes for Coronation Street as well.

A really good book to read is The Accidental Gangster' - it is the story of Eddie Fewtrell and his family. Loads of interesting stuff in there, and a great account of what happened when the Krays tried to move into 'the manor'

Eddie / Don and Phil,  they were actually ok until crossed.  Oh for the cedar club and being 20 again.

Krov has signed for Hadjuk Split on a 3 year deal. £1.35m according to Transfermarkt

That tells you a lot about where the market is, (assuming wages commensurate with the fee !)

« on: July 19, 2021, 03:12:06 PM »
Thanks for the replies folks but the membership I was on about was something different to what was called (a couple of years ago) an away season ticket. The membership I'm referring to just gave you earlier access to home match tickets at normal prices  & cost around a tenner.

I had / have? one of those essentially a £10 to be on the database to get a crack at tickets or to help when tickets are mailed out etc, etc,  Nowt to do with Away season tickets

sounds a bit too Berahinoesque for my liking, but if he can do it on the pitch and not screw up like Saido, all good.

it really isnt "simple as" though,
Currently it seems MP is being professional, maybe because he is confident that someone will come in and give him what he wants,  if no-one appears and/or WBA block it, he will (potentially) become a stroppy git and do a Dawson.Thats no good to us at all, the club will be well aware of this and at some point will capitulate on his fee.
