Well done Albion. I got his autograph when I was a kid. He was really happy to talk to us, a truly lovely man.  I was so star struck as a ten year old, I could not say anything !

Went to the away fixture.  I would expect us to win, but it will not be easy.  They were really stubborn at home and there will be nervousness around our team given our lack of goals and finishing.  I go for 2-0 to us, but both will come in the second half.

It was certainly a signing at the time that left me scratching my head.  He was I believe 32 when we signed him from Ipswich.  I thought we were mad.  What a player though. Glory days with him and Olsen at the back.

I would be very surprised to see us taking anything from this.  A decent result would be not to lose by more than 2. Football is a funny game.  I can remember playing Brighton not that long ago (02 maybe?) when they were in a temporary stadium with the announcer seriously asking us not to all stand up together otherwise it might fall over...  Since then they have come on well.  Lovely new stadium, well run team with the right ethos, real stability.  We have not done quite so well overall.  Dike should get a cameo (ten minutes), Fellows and TGH shows we do have some decent youth players... what ever happened to Castro?

We will get to the play offs and then lose in the semi finals (no trip to Wembley).  Let me brutally honest and say if by some quirk of fate we found ourselves in the premiership, this team would get slaughtered every week .  We would make Norwich look like Brazil.  Dike will make a difference, but last couple of games I have not seen us creating the clear cut chances he will need.

I like Sam, and I think he has done well for us.  However, this is our last opportunity to get any money for him, and if he goes I think it would be with our blessing.  Sending off after the whistle was daft though, and costs us a decent keeper at a time when we are struggling.  Along with tactical issues, I do think we have a discipline issue which our Manager behaviourally encourages.

So much here I do not understand.  Our goal was I am afraid to say definitely off-side.  What was more curious is the lino half raised his flag and then lowered it again.  From his view point he was well placed to see that Robinson was off-side, so I do not understand the logic for not giving the decision.  Refereeing in the match as a whole was poor, and we absolutely should have had a penalty at the end.  On balance though, 1-1 was the right result.  The officials were poor, but we did not play well enough to win.

I enjoyed watching Fellows who brought some urgency alongside TGH when he came on, and for me, would have turned the game had both been on 15 mins before.  However, lets be a bit cautious over the next few games.  I would be bringing these two off the bench to mix things up at the hour mark.  We need to develop gradually as bring them on.  One of the few bright spots at the half year stage is that our youth looks good, and of course we have Dara to come back into the defence mix as well.

Spitting chips.  A goal I would not expect to see at under 10s.  We could not score if we played all afternoon, and when we need to change things we being on Hugill who is never going to change a match.  Tactically naive, clearly poor morale, and we need a managerial change now!  Our goal should have stood, but that is not really the point.  Far too late in bringing on TGH (who looked like making a difference).

i am sure i saw a post on face book that this game is off ?

Nothing on the official site.  For our home match on 30th there are press reports in the Midlands and in Preston that this match is likely to be cancelled.  Everything is up in the air with Covid I am afraid.

I have to say I like the Albion player radio.  Totally biased in our favour.  Like having a mate watching the match for you and telling you what is going on.

Unless things get ridiculous then we should play the game. People are moaning that the EFL made us play Saturday but we won so I'm glad we did play I'd rather have the points than a game in hand.

We are capable of beating Barnsley with any senior team we put out despite our historic record there.

Agreed, but we do need to be sure that we have a level playing field.  Sadly I think the next two months are going to be quite bad for Covid.

So just to check on my reckoning, anyone out for the Reading game, will also be out for the Barnsley game, with the potential for the outbreak to spread a little further?  Also does anyone understand what the criteria are for calling a game off? It always used to be that if you had 13 registered players who could get on to the pitch then you had to play.

Have always enjoyed our trips to the South Coast.  BHA are a decent well organised side, and should be beating us.  However, should be an entertaining game.  hope we get a replay though.

We were good today, and I enjoyed watching.  Some passing was a bit wayward, and we clearly have a real problem finishing at the moment.  However, given Covid especially this was a good result.  TGH deserves a special mention for a great game.  On the Reading side, I was a bit worried by Carroll being in the line up along with Junior. Hoillett. However, both are shadows of their former selves.  Carroll in particular looked awful.  No speed, no skill and totally controlled for the whole match.

Most of us will have followed this story with some horror.  I was appalled at the way this child was treated by his father and step mum.  In some of the pictures he looks happy in his Birmingham City shirt, and it did occur to me that someone cared enough to buy it form him.  Perhaps a grandparent?  Perhaps there was a time when someone got him a burger (or a tikka?) and took him to his first match.  Then I read that part of his punishment was to have his shirt cut up into pieces in front of him.  There was quite a lot of cruelty experienced by this small boy and this was not the worst.  But it did touch me, and I will be holding my own kids just a bit closer this weekend. I sincerely hope this couple never see the light of day again…one way or another.

If we play as well as we did at Coventry I fancy 2 or 3-0 to us.  Big If though.  Hope TGH gets a start again, just for the crowd we need a talented youngster to get behind.

2-0 to Coventry.  We will see a lot of the ball (60% possession), we will spurn the relatively few chances we have.  Our midfield will look weak and unable to pick passes forward, and we will lose out to Coventry for positioning and pace.

Watched this one on the pay for service yesterday.  We played some reasonable football.  However, our finishing was very poor, and we have gone from challenging for the Championship title to a mid championship team, seemingly in a month.  Confidence looks low in the last third, and I do not understand what has become of Grant, Diangana and Robinson.  Tactically we look poor and morale looks low.  Logically to protect his investment our Chair should change managers now...we shall see.  At the moment we are less than the sum of our parts.

Fair numbers of friends in Blackpool.  Their confidence is high, and they think they perform well against the bigger teams in the division, of which they see us as one.  They are also emboldened by our weak form and our simplistic tactics.  I fear that we lose this one by a goal or so as we did against Huddersfield. Sadly at the moment, we have some individually very strong players who can do well at this level.  However, the sum of parts is less than the individuals, which is a management issue.

It will be more about the players getting in ahead of him, Norfolk. I fully agree with your trepidation but none of our forward players are playing well and it's starting to tell therefore he becomes an option purely by default.

Yes it is scary if he becomes an option by default. To even make the playoffs we need a better option.

Think this could be really bad for the next few matches.  I had an experience a couple of matches ago where it took me over an hour to get one junction down the M5 and off at west Brom.  The rest of my Norfolk journey as a whole took only 2.5 hours.  Best going to Oldbury and then back from experience.

Sadly I do not think it is worth trying Zohore again.  The U23s tells us something about up and coming players, but Zohore has been given his first team chance, and he was pretty poor when he had his chance.  I cannot see how he gets back into a team again.

On balance I think we will get into the play-offs.  I would go for fourth.  Getting to the play off final then losing.  Having watched the home games in person and the away games on video as far as possible, we have some potentially outstanding players (Grant, Diangana, Johnstone, Robinson, Phillips on a good day) at this level, but also some of the squad are journeymen. Hughill is in my view poor and Reach Furlong and Clarke are not that great either and the same level of mediocrity applies to a number of others.  it is an obvious statement, but over time we have replaced good players with more average ones.  The lack of effective replacement for Parreira  is a good example.  The real issue is ownership.  There was no clear motivation for Mr Lei to buy the club and investment as a result has been limited.  Right now, I suspect the aim is to limit losses which means a slow gentle decline unless we are sold.  In the unlikely event we do make it to the premiership, we will make Norwich look like PSG.
