Is it allegedly a serious injury?

Once again the latter stages of the window looms large and all we have to show is a deal , AW, probably instigated by Bristol City wanting to conclude the permanent signing of TGH . CC has gone on record today as saying he wants another offensive player and a centre mid , sooner rather than later . Come on Pearce , for once try and get what the manager wants before the last few hours of January !

Easier said than done when you are skint

those few hours he’s got bums off seats with his direct style of football and if we lose another prospect for peanuts then our youth structure clearly isn’t working.

Academy is working well, its the plums not keeping the best players in contract thats the problem. Another player allowed to run down his contract before we wake up. This keeps repeating, and is unnaceptable!!

I think its safe to say that Lai couldn't care less who he sells to, as long as its the best bid he can garner from a buyer. He has zero loyalty to the club so why would he care?

Well being a Raider's fan I'm not sure what to think about Mahome's alleged interest :)

To be fair this is one of the blandest Albion teams for years but hardly surprising given our circumstances. CC task is to keep us safe until we can improve the squad.

Maybe try to win the game. Sarmiento and Maja need to start. And we need to have a go from the start.

Be lucky to get £5m. May even be loan to buy option.

Why is it multiple managers haven't trusted our youngsters? It's no wonder they want to jump ship. Are they not as good as we might believe, or are our managers frightened to use them?

SKY have a lot to answer for. They started this chain of events, where clubs started chasing the dream, with many spending beyond their means. Only mega rich owners can afford to 'play' with football clubs. 99% of clubs will not bring a return on an investors money. It's literally a play thing. As other owners have found out, and are now trying to recoup their money. Lai thought he could make a buck out of us and has come unstuck. Fosun are also realising its just a money pit. If the mega rich Arabs get bored with football, then several teams could come falling down like a pack of cards. Football in general needs a 'Reset'.

Reading between the lines, and adding 2+2 I'm thinking that CC may just be starting to get frustrated with the board. No money and no sign of any quality signings - goodness knows what will happen if he walks.

Tricky one really.

Do we loan him to a championship club and risk it (if loan like at Pompey then bad or like at his other loan clubs then plenty of upside and value should go up) or do we sell now.

If now then it has to be £7m to £9m.

Can't see 7-9m, when clubs know we are sellinng to keep afloat

With Ethan Ampadu signing for Leeds , only ourselves and Huddersfield are yet to sign a player this Summer . Keep up the good work Mr Pearce !

To be fair he's probably been told he can't until we shift more players out

I have to say that I think £3m is too cheap. I would want £5-6, and even then we are taking a canning.

Are the Vile completely incapable of bringing through their own players? Once again it makes a mockery of our academy, that we bring them through and as soon as they show any promise they are gone!!

Lai will care even less than JP about who he sells to, as long as he recoups money against his failed investment, without having to give away too big a %

TBH I'm at the point where I don't care anymore. Its sad to admit but I really couldn't care, not until Lai has gone. If that means League 2 or worse then so be it.

The club is a festering wound right now, going more rotten by the day. We need to amputate Lai from the club ASAP

Unfortunately I had the misfortune of supporting the club just as the 'good' days were ending in the early 80's. I then had the joy of witnessing the club diteriate to the low of Division 3, with proper 3rd rate players. With the financial mess that the club finds itself in right now I worry where we might be heading. We have an absent owner, who rather than invest into the club has done the complete opposite. We are now borrowing money to keep afloat in the short term, with no real view of how to pay the money back, other than crossing our fingers and praying for promotion. We are now very much a ticking time bomb. I wouldn't blame CC if he walks, when you consider the 'asset' stripping that is needed just to survive the next few months. I don't like being negative but I can't see any positives right now. Until Lai goes this club is going to continue to go backwards. How far we fall is down to him. As each month goes by the value of his asset falls. I wonder when he will admit that enough is enough?

Leeds have parachute payments, and a far better chance of promotion than us, so why wouldn't CC want to jump ship from this 'Mickey Mouse' outfit of a club we are?
