According to the athletic today, Yokuslu wouldn’t rule out staying in the 2nd tier with us as he’s settled in the area - but the club aren’t hopeful due to likelihood of interest elsewhere in the prem
I’d hoped he may settle in the area. A lot of the Albion lads live in Solihull or even some of the more quieter (and affluent) villages heading out of the Birmingham area. If we stand a chance of him returning next season, it would be easier to persuade him if he’s happy where’s he’s living and the club has a clear objective which everybody is pulling towards.
Personally, I’d like to keep him at the Albion on a permanent basis. However if it’s not going to realistic, or we spend too much of the summer chasing/negotiating when it’s unlikely he’ll come then we must move on, and swiftly!
Again, a good technical director would already be proactive about this and have options available.
