Who gives a ***** to be honest.................we are a total laughing stock. Even TB couldnt defend the shambles of an appointment or the way it was done.

I dont think JFP had any intention of appointing anyone but Irvine, he just conned everyone into renewing by offering TS as a high profile carrot.

I calmed down a couple of days ago, but the more i mull over it the more despicable and dishonest it seems. JFPs absence from the official launch ceremony speaks volumes and the official website is currently as dour as a scotsmans backside...something i am sure we will see much more of when  it is scurrying over the horizon come November. Swansea away...3-0 if we are lucky.

We are not that badly off:
Foster,
Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Brunt
Dorrans, Sessegnon, Thorne, Mulumbu
Berahino, Anichebe

Subs: Myhill, Yacob, Morrison, Gardner,  er......Peace, Burton, Downing

Maybe we could go 4-2-3-1

Foster

Gardner
Brunt
Olsson
Mcauley

Mulumbu
Yacob

Sessegnon
Berahino
Dorrans

Anichebe

Subs

Myhill
Dawson
Thorne
O'Neil

The ways things are going we're going to end up drawing the big four in the opening month.

Whoever we get, Alan Irvine needs to hit the ground running.

Playing devil's advocate, we could do we a few mid-low table sides in the first few games, rather than any of the big boys.

That way it might give AI and co more of a chance.

Of course if things go badly from the off, I dread to think what'll happen. Maybe they'll be doing their due dithering in mid-Autumn this season, rather than mid-Winter.

didn't we get an "easy" start last year and got battered apart from Sunderland? I didn't mean that to sound harsh or snide it's that I can only remember the Sunderland game

We did but we went into those first two home fixtures in particular woefully under prepared.

I remember at the end of our convincing defeat against Swansea JP came in for a lot of criticism from supporters and rightfully so.

The Southampton game was just as bad although we were probably worthy of a point.

The Swansea game set alarm bells ringing purely because our options were so weak and we were beaten so convicingly by a side who had European exertions on the Thursday before.

Those last 5 games look worryingly similar to Norwich's run-in last season. ::)
