Top footy lawyer says season being voided very unlikely. Too many legal ramifications. Expect season to resume in a few months.

https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/coronavirus-premier-league-more-likely-to-be-postponed-than-cancelled-leading-sports-lawyer-says-2451360

I don't understand why people are looking to next season when we have not completed this one yet? Surely it's common sense to complete this season (whenever that may be) and then once completed, have a meeting and discuss what we do for next season then.

I thought the same but current sales are poor.

10,012 tickets left in the home end.

3871 in the east stand
4842 in the Brummie
1299 in the Halfords

I'm with you I thought this would be a sell out.
But if the ground holds roughly 26,000 and Newcastle have 5,000, then we have only sold half of the available tickets in the home stands.

2 games from Wembley and a winnable tie at home. Our squad is good enough to fight on 2 fronts and a historic double certainly is possible.

2389 tickets sold in the last week.

7623 remaining now with just under 2 weeks until the game. We'll do well to sell them.

If we beat Newcastle it will be postponed as it would be quarter final weekend

Or if they beat Man City. This I would guess is the reason for the delay.

Thanks again but i am well beyond getting any further credit even though my credit scores good as im currently on 15k less than my old job last year when i got made redundant from.

Don't you know anyone that has the Albion Credit Card that can renew yours on it and you pay them back monthly?

This game will sell out. I'm getting 9 tickets next Thursday.

The demand is there at £15 for 2 games from Wembley vs a prem team.

krovinovic apart from maybe 3 good appearances has been none existent and too light weight this season

Just feel he is better on the ball than Sawyers and especially at home when teams sit in, it's another option for them to mark in the midfield as he can push forward and may free Perreira up with more space.

Prices out next Friday.

Be interesting what they do, if they raise them hoping we go up, then will be a hard sell come June and July if we don't go up as cannot reduce them then.

Managed to get 2 tickets calling the ticket line....but why do you have to have booking history to be able to use the online option??

They are on general sale, ive got an account that ive have for years and yet I cant book online without booking history. Seems a bit strange to me!

Anyway, East Stand it is, and my 5yo daughters first game.....the first time ive got to introduce Albion to one of my children, proper excited now

They sold out quickly so with the problems we've had in recent years with away fans in home end, you can see why the club are being strict on general sale for certain games.

I would think so.

We might be on if Oxford beat Newcastle.
Man Utd will definitely be on they always are. Liverpool/Shrewsbury v Chelsea will be on. Man City as cup holders will be on. I'm not sure how many other ties will be televised.

I think the opposite. If it's the geordies I reckon we'll be on, if it's Oxford then not. Oxford away we may have been on, but not at home.

Just hoping that as it's midweek the Geordies don't want the whole of the Smethwick. Fat chance  :( .

Midweek or weekend, the Geordies are probably the best supported team. They will have the whole Smethwick.

Top 2.
We haven't won in 6 games now, and it is going to realistically take teams another 3 without a win to overtake us.
This purple patch will end soon and other teams will go through one.
We'll be fine, just ride the rollercoaster!

Quite straightforward, If they expend more of the limited energy they are currently showing on Saturday, then most of them will not have the stamina to be up for the fight against Cardiff on Tuesday. I saw them at Charlton after having a week of recovery and they were not "at it" , and as I am going to Cardiff then I want to see them right "up for it". It is time for them to give us "everything" something I have certainly not seen in recent away games.

The 1st team as we can call them have played 2 games in 20 days before Stoke (Leeds and Charlton in the league) and we looked tired and rusty. For me we need to get energy and legs back into them and playing games will do that. I don't accept players can't play twice in a week, Liverpool very rarely rest Salah, Mane and Firmino and they play just as many if not more games than us.

George Thorne moved from Derby to Oxford on a permanent deal. I remember being disappointed when he first moved to Derby, as he came from our youth and was supposed to be a great prospect, but maybe the club knew what they were doing.

A bit harsh on the lad. He got a horrible injury early into his Derby days (cruciate I think) and ain't been able to stay fit since.

Albion have accepted an FA charge of violent conduct against Matheus Pereira arising from a first-half incident in Monday night’s Sky Bet Championship game against Stoke City.

The Club has decided not to contest the charge and accept the automatic penalty of a three-match suspension.

Matheus will be unavailable for the FA Cup tie at West Ham on Saturday and the next two league games against Cardiff and Luton.

From the official website  :(

I did think at the time that it was a shame the referee didn't book him to avoid any future scrutiny.

Had Allen already received his booking before this incident?

Because that's the reason he wasn't booked 2nd half after a foul when we were away on the attack because he had already booked him once.

Play that team on Saturday, and we definitely lose on Tuesday night.

Explain why?

For me we need a win here to get confidence going into Cardiff game. Another defeat with a weaker team means 7 without a win and plenty of pressure on Cardiff game.

Johnstone/Bond (may have agreed with bond already he plays cup games).
Furlong
Bartley
Semi
Brunt/Gibbs/Townsend (Gibbs if fit)
Sawyers
Livermore
Edwards
Perreira
Phillips
Zohore/Kanu/Austin (I still don't know who is the best from a bad bunch)

Albion take on the Irons on their own patch on Saturday January 25, and it remains a 3pm kick off for the time being, although there are yet to be any announcements about whether the police plan to keep apart this match with the game that will be taking place in the same vicinity on the same day.

Millwall, West Ham’s rivals, are also scheduled to be at home on the same day - they entertain Premier League Sheffield United at the New Den.

Surely they can't move the kick off time now?  :o

Sold out

The fact the ticketing website has no tickets available, but the club have not announced it as a sell out yet on official website, I wonder if they are trying to secure more tickets?
