Or 1 defeat in 3 games.

Depends how you want to look at it I guess.

We'll win a couple, lose a couple and draw some, same as most of the teams around us and finish somewhere between 12th and 16th.
2 defeats in 3 games.

Surprisingly positive comments on here today, ok it was Man U away, problem is it looks the same home vs relegation candidates. I have deffo lost faith in Pulis tactics , Why play Dawson every week for example, Why Waits intill 86th minute to bring on mcmanaman .

Okay I forgot today  ;)

2 wins 2 defeats 1n 4 games. We''ll win a couple, lose a couple and draw some, comment still stands.

Wonder how many other clubs fans go OTT when they lose a game or two in the Prem ?

You mean Dawson who has been an integral part in the clean sheets we have kept under Pulis ?

There wasnt any! We were playing for a draw pure and simple. This isnt the Utd of old, much more conservative now under Van Gaal.

Yepp thats him. Looked very promising a few years back  in his correct position as centre back. Looks totalt lost as tight back Im afraid

But is still a major part of the clean sheets we have kept. He is doing an excellent job overall and personally I prefer him there than at centre half, all about opinions though.

Agree, all about opinions. Still worried that Pulis tactics and playing people obviously out of form will cost us.

Strange that I took a number of positives from last week's defeat yet see nothing really from this one.

Usual service resumed against the 'big guys' - shipping goals and not scoring.

No big deal but a little disappointing again with the 'nothing' performance and, after things looking brighter a few weeks ago on 14 points, we now start looking over our shoulders again with the daunting fixtures upcoming. It will be interesting to see where we are after the Liverpool game !

The better teams do seem to be targeting him now though and, unless he's doubled up with a wide midfielder, he seems to struggle more that most players in that position against pacey wingers.
His current form is poor but there seems no competition for that position which is very worrying - dreading him against Arsenal next !

Regardless of the cliche "Its Man Utd away!" that was pathetic.

Brunt & Dawson are terrible at full back roles. Did anyone hear Brunt moaning when he was subbed about his consistantly poor performances? If he can see it, why cant TP?

As for Dawson's distribution, or lack of, the less said the better. His passing is abysmal. And dont give me another cliche of "he's a centre back playing right back". If thats the case, we shouldnt just settle for that, we should expect that a club like us should have players who are specialists in each area who the manager wants.

We know this season has been boring; but its sucking the life out of me.

All very predictable. Okay, I thought it would be 0-0 or 0-1. I got the nil right.

We shouldnt have lost but we never tried to win!! Fletcher was useless Evans and Yacob did well , the Berahino chance was absolutely crucial, he should serve McAuleys ban. Against the bigger teams Lambert needs to start ahead of Rondon because he holds the ball up so much better, are you listening Tone (unlikely his ideas are set in concrete!!)

Funniest thing about today was how obvious it was that Merson had Man Utd to win 1-0, he nearly shot his load when they scored the first then got all depressed about the pen  ;D

Absolutely agree, Dawson's distribution was so woeful today it was untrue, desperate stuff from a Premier League player.

But he did put two quality crosses in during the last 20 minutes.

He had a poor game but his cross to Berahino was sublime. A surprisingly good crosser for a converted centre-back.

Thought I'd add my bit, I've been reading this forum for years now, I have a season ticket and go to to the odd away games. I went today and from the off I knew we would lose or draw, but that is pulis isn't it? Away games he tries to see out the first half with a plan to draw and maybe grab a goal 'berahino miss'. At home he is exactly the same, he wants 0-0 at half time so he can try and get a result in the second half, but we are not the albion who try and get a point here or there, we are an established premier league club who should be trying to win at home and pick points up away. We played well today but we need to be supporting Rondon and imo that isn't going to happen if we play the way we are with 20% Posession. Arsenal next at home, I just hope it isn't the same or we will be hearing a few boos here and there.

A superb performance and unlucky not to get a draw.

TP got his tactics spot on. United looked clueless in attack and barely created anything all game. They were very lucky to get bailed out by a piece of individual brilliance when they had done nothing to suggest they deserved a goal.

I loved the approach to the game. Hope it's replicated against Arsenal and Liverpool.

As for the match itself, I thought Albion were brilliant defensively, both before the goal and after it. It really was a joy to watch at times.

Evans was simply superb. McAuley is one of the best centrebacks in the league. Yacob was phenomenal once again. In attack, Sessegnon looked electric. He could be a real asset this season.

Lots of lots of positives and both the manager and the players should take immense heart from only conceding once in 90 minutes at Old Trafford and limiting United to half chances. (they had just 3 shots on target in the whole match)

This forum is overwhelmingly negative, it's been quite quiet of late and I can see why which is a shame. Best way to get a result imo yesterday was to deploy the tactics that TP used, which we did very well on the whole. Admittedly our passing was poor at points yesterday but to be in the game in the 90th minute I was pleased with that. Ultimately it was our errors at both ends that lead to the result, the games we should be negative about our Everton & Leicester - 4 more points on the board everything looks rosey.

I was there yesterday and have to say United are not the same team as they were under Fergie.
But saying that we did do give a brilliant defensive display , But who else there thought when we went at them for 10 mins 2nd half they looked a little rattled, Were not a bad team , and i,m not the manager but i really think if we did attack just a little more and put this teams under pressure we might actually get some thing from some of these games.
Going forward  we did zip the ball around  the midfield and looked quite good like i said for 10 mins or so, But we need to bring the  pace on  sooner, When we go down because the team set up at the start of the match aint going to scores goals!
Berahino, macca, bring em on with 30 mins left not 10! and go for it we have got nothing to lose  because were losing anyway!.
Who knows we might just surprise the opposition!.......and me!

Just reading the posts on this after match forum and it's the same comments week in week out pulis gives the opposition to much respect and shackles our attacking abilities
