We're making Newcastle look like Barcelona here. Anichibi took his goal well but has been poor aside from that. Would like to see us push on a bit more and control possession for a change. Sick if seeing us with 30% possession. Newcastle have 2 midfielders in the back 4 and we've put them under no pressure.

At least that means we're mathematically safe, but it's just as well we did the hard work over the last couple of weeks, because this was a very lacklustre performance.

I thought Brunt did OK, but we seemed set up not to lose rather than to go for it.

Played well, thought we could have won that with a bit more luck (hitting the woodwork twice!)

Overall a fairly decent performance, I thought McAuley looked shaky though and to be fair Berahino did well when he came on. Just a quick note though, their goal came from a free-kick which should have never been, and that Cabella was a real cheat. On another day we'd have won but hopefully we can save that luck for next season now

About 5 starting XI players needed for the start of next season, but VERY well done to everyone for dragging us clear and insuring we're safe for the season.

I think Hull are the team going down now, which is a shame as I'd have preferred Sunderland/Villa/Newcastle.

Safe, but used the hoof and hope technique.
Our best chances came with corners and free kicks.
The players we have are just are no good at playing football.
They have to learn to keep the ball on the ground, run and pass quickly.
Let's see what Pulis can do in the close season.

We struggled because our centre midfield can't control a ball or pass but we held out and Bera might have nicked it. Ref gave us nothing, but at least we have secured another season in the Prem!
