Always the way with Bruce, massive squad upheavals in the summer. To be fair to him in general he buys the odd gem and sells at a big profit in order to finance this. I'm sure that they'll have a good start and fade away again.

Real lack of imagination from Bruce why is he just going back to his old club? Reminds me of Alan Buckley with us.

Well he cannot go much wrong with the United B-team. These are players that may not be brilliant or world class players, but they have been well schooled and drilled by Ferguson to know their jobs inside and out.

I agree Bruce isn't very imaginative, he gets a yearly gift or two by SAF to keep him in his job, but after the injury horror of last season almost cost him his job who can blame Bruce for wanting strength in depth.

I wouldn't give them a pack of crisps for Jerome.
There are two great teams in the Black Country. West Bromwich Albion and West Bromwich Albion reserves.

Eight million for Jerome, if that does happen Blues will laughing all the way to the bank. Marlon King could be on his way to Birmingham. Blues have got Chris Burke.

Burkey has had some troubled times down at Cardiff as his wife and kids refused to move so he could never get settled. He's then only moved just ab it futher to Scotland by joining Blues which has left a sour taste in some Cardiff fans mouths.

As for £8million for Cameron Jerome? He gets absolutely ridiculed by the Blues fans and he doesn't score many either for that matter, although he'll work hard it's absolute laughable to think that they would that much for him when we paid just under two million for Peter Odemwingie who has a much better overall game.

The guy looks nothing special to me. We need to get Thorne playing regulary for us as soon as possible, so we can flog him for an extortionate fee.  :D

Way way too much for him imo. Never worth £20m, he is a good player but not a great player nor do i see him with the potential to be a great player but then again this is the club who spent £30m on carrol so......
I hate stoke, i hate newcastle more than i hate stoke, i hate andy carrol more than i hate newcastle, i hate v*lla more than i hate andy carrol but i hate the dingles most of all. Albion till i die

The final deal is apparently £13 million plus Ngog. If you ask me that's good business for Liverpool.
For that price, they shift some dead wood with the potential of a future success. Even if Henderson does completely flop - his name alone will probably be able to sell for about £5 million meaning a loss of £8 million, which isn't terrible for a club of Liverpool's size. Personally I think he'll do well.

And Barca probably can afford Cesc, but how much will they pay? Today they openly came out in saying they had £40 million to spend on players plus any money from other sales. I imagine Fabregas is valued at around £40 million, which may just be too much for Barca.

There are reports that Liverpool have offered £5m for Gael Clichy, not entirely sure but I think he only has a year left on his contract at Arsenal.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, Blues apparently have no money and need to get in new players quickly with them also being in Europe next season. I think they may need up to five new strikers this summer having already lost Phillips, Martins and the other lad they had on loan who used to play for Blackburn who's name escapes me, then will Jerome, McFadden and Zigic want to stay?

If it was down to the papers, Liverpool would have signed everyone by now!

The final deal is apparently £13 million plus Ngog. If you ask me that's good business for Liverpool.

According to the BBC who are quoting 20m, Ngog going the other way to Sunderland is still to be confirmed and from press reports I saw earlier in the week Liverpool were valueing Ngog at 3 million.

http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/sunderland-afc/chris-young-column/david_ngog_could_be_a_3_million_bargain_1_3462265

"The Black Cats had rejected Liverpool's previous offer for the player, which was thought to be worth £16m.

Striker David Ngog, 22, could move in the opposite direction as part of the deal, but that is yet to be confirmed."

From what I read yesterday the deals are very much linked but Ngog is on holiday in America and Sunderland are in no rush to sort it out as they know Ngog is very keen to go there.

I'm surprised we are not back in for Ngog. £3m is a steal IMO.
