Apparently Cov paid nearly 8m quid for Simms. BTA looks even more of a bargain

That is an insane amount for him. Remember going to the game away at Sunderland when he played for them and came away from it thinking how bad he was. Looks like he doesn't know how to kick a football correctly.

Apologies for when he inevitbly scores now.

Clearly Marshall isn't impressing CC as that looked like an obvious game for him to get some minutes with our stirker injuries.

Would be nice to see what he can do though.

Would have taken a draw before the game but feel like we had the chances to win it. Swift should stick that away after Reach hit the post.

Diego Lugano. Had a good reputation but was cooked when he arrived.

Remember being excited about Marcus Rosenberg as well but had nada to offer.

For sheer randomness - Williams Martinez and Juan Carlos Menseguez… both scored Prem goals for us.

I quite liked that Menseguez, was a bit like Felipe Teixeira but wasn't given enough game time in his 6 month loan

Great to see him back and especially getting a goal. Well deserved.

He was clearly a bit rusty with some of his touches but that will sort itself out as he gets more minutes.

I'm a believer that he still has a lot of potential and if stays fit will give us a huge boost for the rest of the season.

I'm hoping this new loan is there to stop the requirement to sell payers in Jan whilst takeover continues.

Be careful for what you wish for. When Lai first appeared, it seemed that our prayers had been answered, but all we got was a nightmare.

I think that's a fair comment if under a reasonable owner but we all know we are in a desperate situation and It can't possible be worse.

A very good win and whilst we did get some luck (kipre handball and BTA looked offside) we did what we needed to do.

We are doing all we can and must be commended especially with the injury list we have at present. It's a shame as I'm sure with a fully fit Maja or Dike (or better, both) we would look better going forward.

Hoping to see a few changes to the team for this one. We've been very predictable so would be good to see some different players starting.

                     Palmer

        Ajayi   Bartley   Kipre
Pipa                                 Townsend
             Okay     Molomby

Sarmiento      Maja          Diangana

Every Albion side over the past few years put in absolute rubbish, bottle job performances when there is any expectation on them to win. We love giving the absolute dross teams free wins.

Sick of not having a different LB than Townsend for years.

Also CC  desereves criticism as much as the players. Playing it safe too often.

Was hoping to see Sarmiento start as we are at home agaisnt a weak side. let him run them ragged but in Carlos I trust.

Theres a little part of me that thinks we might be suprised tonight. go 0-1 up from a set piece then get a goal late on through Sarmiento / Maja link up

gone from being a nice win with positives to feeling like we didn't even win. Swansea aren't a team known for their height and set piece prowess yet we made them look like prime stoke at the end.

I beg for some new defenders.

This formation is desperate for a proper striker. Lets hope we see Maja today and he gives us some postiive signs that he can be the one.

What I would do for Dike to be fit for a season.

We can't go with 3 defensive minded midfielders again. Every time we did this last year and against Blackburn it never ends well. You need a no. 10 if there is only 1 striker.

I would go

                  Palmer

Furlong   Ajayi    Bartley   Townsend

         Yokuslu    Molomby

Wallace        Swift           Sarmiento

             BTA (Maja if fit)

Its hard to be optimistic for next season wiht our current ownership. I just hope that if Carlos can get a few more players that suit him then we will see results.
We really need a striker.

What should I do today:

Watch our game on Sky
Watch soccer Saturday and see all the goals as they go in for us and the other play off contenders at the same time
Hide behind the setee

think I will start with our game, if winning stick it to soccer sat.
then hide behind the sofa as we inevitibly bottle it.

not sure why we are playing wallace as a 10, hes been ur best attacking player this year and then we move him.

I'm hoping that as Carlos is under contract with us, that we can put our foot down and stop any move happening this season; to force them to look elsewhere, presuming they do want to employ him. It's dog eat dog.

nothing we can do if they pay the money required in the contract and he wants to go. Can't keep him prisoner.
