If we keep being organised like that and add a bit of quality I can see us staying up.

Fantastic result - great second half performance.

Such an over reaction at half time.

We’ve stayed in the game, created openings and landed a punch.

Top notch.

Awful first half, was lucky to not go in 2 or 3 down.

If only we approached the first half the way we did the second half.

Told you Jacko, we're better than a non-league fa-cup defensive performance.

Two or three signings in January and we WILL stay up under Big Sam.

5/6 points off safety, 1 win all season, relying on a centre back to snatch a goal. It's a massive task to even have a chance of staying up. We have followed all of our great away performances this season against the bigger teams with abject results against mid table sides. So let's see what we can do against Leeds. If we get hammered again then today doesn't mean much.

The change of tactics at HT was spot on, credit to the coaches for that.

Shout out to Sawyers who took some toughen up pills at HT and started getting stuck in and played some sublime balls forwards. I genuinely believe some didn't come off because the players weren't expecting it.

That’s what we need 2nd half completely different team, it started with Grant holding the ball up, he was unlucky on his effort pulled away from the defender the keeper made a great save, Yes boys if we can do that 2nd half we’l be in more games this year.

THAT IS A FANTASTIC RESULT AND PERFORMANCE FROM START TO FINISH. You earn the right to compete in these games.

That's called staying in the game lads.

Vital point. This manager will keep us up.

Well said.

A tactical masterclass by Allardyce. We didnt even look like conceding second half.

Dara O'Shea was faultless.

Well done lads. Away points at both city and Liverpool has to give us some hope. We need to start getting results against the so called lesser teams now. Well done Albion.

You need a bit of luck setting up as we did first half, because if Liverpool go and get 2 early it all looks a bit foolish and the rage would look justified.

I don’t like just how deep we were but getting to half time at 1-0 was never as bad as some of the reactions suggested.

Good result.

It’s a good job the Kevin’s (Davies and Nolan) have retired. Look for the equivalent signings in January

I was clear that we sat too deep and was just about holding on - you were happy with that.

Second half we took the game to Liverpool and the improvement was a million percent.  Like I said, we don't need to set up like a pub team out of its depth.  We are better than that.

The outrage Online (mainly twitter) before the game about team selection and at half time was actually embarrassing. You could see what he was trying to do. They had just put 7 past Palace. He’s been there a week and the shape looks so much better. A long way to go but these kind of results get the players buying into what he wants.
1-1 at Anfield and they had their full attacking complement playing.
Fair play Big Sam. Great result.

I agree we are odds-on to go down. But we maybe have a 10% chance after appointing an excellent and experienced coach. I doubt there’s enough quality there at the moment for him to save us and we have already dropped points in key games against the likes of Fulham, Burnley, Newcastle, Villa etc. He will need reinforcements.

But this showed there was still fight in the side, and I think we will be that bit harder to beat from here on. We’ve been a soft touch because we can’t defend - Allardyce knows 100% that if you don’t sort that you won’t win many matches.

There were some embarrassing and deeply unfair comments made during the in-game thread about our manager. He is by far the best and only chance we have of staying in the EPL.

It was that bad though - look at the stats for where the ball was, our number of passes, possession.  Like you said, concede another during that half and it's game over - we were lucky to not have that happen.  As Nevin said, our formation was 6-4-0.  Much improved second half - we don't need to be afraid of teams.  We passed it better, we counter attacked quicker, we looked tidier at the back.  We don't need to rely on a lucky 1st half.

It was tactically perfect. Even when we kicked off all our team was over one side of the pitch in order to condense the space.

5-5-0 first half, stay in the game then start of the second half Grant stayed up the  pitch then as the game went on Robinson joined him. Playing the ball forward early and into the space behind.

Allardyce got it absolutely spot on.

Excellent result, excellent performance, excellent game plan and execution from Sam and his staff. Will give the players real belief and that's the top 10 out of the way.

2-3 solid additions in January and I believe we will stay up. Lai time to get into the low interest covid loan market.

Liverpool have won 32 of the last 33 home games.

That shows how good a result that is.

Andy Robinson quite fair in his assessment pod match, wonder what Klopp will say.
