Jacko, accept your points on 6 and 7, but with regards number 1... the unsuccessful candidates were told they hadn't got the job, hence one of the agents leaked it. Why are Albion telling the unsuccessful agents before they tell Bilic he has lost his job? That is just basic good Human Resource management.

Highlighted what our club is missing.

I was rushed in the other week.
I have AF and my heart beat was extremely rapid. I spent 1 night in resus and 1 night on the medical ward while they monitored me.
As you rightly said, emergency treatment still goes on.

I'm glad you were seen too promptly and yes it's going on now. My mate had dizzy spells and they scanned him and found a brain tumour and it was out within 48 hours. Last year he wouldn't have been so lucky.

I just can't see what your alternative is....it would have meant even more people dying if covid hadn't been given priority. There were still a lot of urgent procedures being done throughout the pandemic e.g. emergency treatment for heart attacks, strokes, serious accidents.

Time will tell. Once the dust has settled and the truth becomes clear over time and whistleblowers Cole out the wood work I believe the final toll will be much much much lower than what we are being scared into believing. I think the governments policies will be exposed as failure and many more lives lost due to these policies than saved.

Definitely keep him for next season. Focus on 2 new CMS and a bloke who knows where the net is as priorities.

So if the NHS wasn't overwhelmed it was certainly very fully stretched in the majority of areas. We had an average daily death toll of over 1200 for a couple of weeks. It would have been overwhelmed if covid hadn't been prioritised.
It's also worth remembering that this waiting list of 5 million wasn't zero before the pandemic - it was already around the 4 million mark.

Whichever way we look at it the NHS is in a real mess so the failed tactics of saving it through letting people die are even more disgusting to me.

He's just tweeted a pic of himself in his hospital bed. He's had his op and said it went well and back for next season.

Official figures currently suggesting 4k deaths a day from 1.2 billion. Even if its double that its a tiny tiny tiny tiny percentage. Again, hardly end of the world stuff it's made out to be.

Regarding the NHS the government sacrificed other peoples lives in favour of covid19 to prevent it becoming overwhelmed. The NHS was never overwhelmed when we look at the facts. That doesnt mean that individual hosptials didnt struggle of course but generally the NHS was not overwhelmed.

In exchange for protecting the NHS from  being overwhelmed with COVID19 patients we have now overwhelmed it with a record number of patients awaiting treatment. True that the NHS will have saved thousands of covid patients at the cost of thousands of lives of non-covid patients although I dont think thats worth celebrating.

Where we certainly agree is why isn't India on the red list being as it's so deadly but this is crazy covid world where nothing makes sense.

I hope Sam stays. The best candidate considering where we are at with the owner we have.

Happy to relate my life's not in immediate danger Gaz. Not that I'm aware of anyway (looks over shoulder.....).

I can tell you a trapped nerve over an eye socket running up the forehead and across the scalp isn't all it's cracked up to be though.

And as for the other thing you can trust me when I say you wouldn't want it. You might read of it in the Woodman one of the days, preferably once sorted  😊 .

Sorry to hear that mate, does sound deeply unpleasant. I'll keep an eye on the Woodmans section :D

I dont think you need to make yourself fully available in the near future. Hopefully it's nothing too serious like the poor sods whose lives are in danger.

Is that 5 million patients awaiting treatment, or a backlog of 5 million appointments spread across a number of patients? If it's the second option then two of those appointments are mine.

5 million different people needing treatment who have not had their first session yet Dan. Half a million of those have been waiting over a year.

Rumours of delaying our rights being given back to us due to the Indian variant. Hopefully just that.

Cumulative deaths per million in India - around 190 people.

NHS backlog announced of 5 million patients waiting to start treatment by March 2021. Lives in danger.

What a mess.

Read another Madeley article this morning on Bilic's demand to sign Grant , absolute madness at this level .
I'd have been up in arms as much as the next bloke but maybe we should have done a Watford and parted ways with Slav in the Summer . Clearly both parties were far from happy .

This is precisely what should have happened. They knew they couldnt work together. Also confirmed he felt we needed a holding midfielder but felt getting Krov and Grant etc was far more important. Insane.

Slav could have walked away with his head held high and cash in his back pocket and reputation enhanced and we would have a good shot at staying up.

30m quid and 1 completely unbalanced squad later, Bilic got a smaller payoff and created one of the worst sides in PL history.

Anyone heard of anybody being unsuccessful?

No email means no success. Some of my mates applied and havent had an email while 4/5 others have had the email and got in.

You are right, the choices open to us realistically are in the main garbage. Lampards expected to replace Roy at Palace according to todays news so it doesnt leave a fat lot at all.

Hopefully hes healthy enough for one more season.

Be careful what you wish for. Just toying with the idea of lower league football could easily lead onto a slippery slope where we end up as another Oldham Athletic or Port Vale. Or worse. A couple of poor gambles on players or managers and we go in to debt, which could easily end in insolvency.

Very true. No one seems to think of this or the danger it puts our club in.

Actions speak louder than words.  The actions said it all really with Diangana offering a bit of a passifying divergence but kind of ending up as a sacrificial lamb on the altar of failure.

I like the cut of your jib

Theres 2 viewpoints really to me. As a fan and looking for returns on the financial investments we make along with our time etc then sure, we all would love to see our club win 90% of the matches we play but that's not reality unless we drop into the rubbish leagues.

From the clubs long term point of view we must be in the PL as much as we can be. The club will go on long after all of us are dead so we don't really have any right to wish it into the footballing bogs of doom. I'd rather us get rogered senseless sometimes in the PL than scrat about looking for pennies in the lower leagues.

I doubt the club would trigger his deal unless they were certain a) they have a buyer lined up and/or b) the manger actually wants him in the squad.

Definitely but all it takes is the buyer to change their mind and thats 2m quid down the swan in wages.

No thanks to Maresa. Another not experienced enough for what is a crucial, crucial season ahead. One for the future perhaps but let him pay his dues elsewhere.

It doesn't say they are determined, it may be that it is just inevitable.

This information combined with the other noises from journalists etc make me think it is inevitable. We are weakening our own hand i think.

Giving him a contract extension on 40k pw or whatever on the chance of receiving a nominal fee is risky business and one thats bound to backfire.

I remember you Bakeyface. Thanks for coming back with this info.

Disappointing to hear they are determined to sell Pereira, that means they will likely lowball us on him in terms of a fee. Also not too happy about Wilder as his transfer dealings are muck.
