Had rather hoped Southgate might change up the front 6. Grealish can consider himself very unlucky not to be starting these games.

The wording of a particular article at some point today had said no formal/official approach had been made but generally when John Percy breaks a story it has legs and the source of this story breaking today was him.

As I’ve said early today - all other stuff is likely nothing more than conjecture.

John Percy stated WBA have moved for Ismael and talks are ongoing while we are willing to pay the £2 million buyout fee.

I will choose to listen to what Percy has said and anything else that comes out…conjecture. That’s the word of the day today.

Agreed we generally give no credence to our sourceless local opinion spouters in the press so why would we treat the Yorkshire Post with any more reverence? In Percy we trust.  ;D

So far people that have an opinion that differs toJacko has been called wilfully ignorant and or selfish, bloke is wearing a bit thin now  >:( >:(

It's not a matter of opinion. Saying something that has happened is not true is wilful ignorance. If you don't like it report the post. Also you'll find that I haven't called anyone selfish though several others have suggested people are selfish. Hope this helps.

Neither will the act of being vaccinated. Not being vaccinated however? A very different story. Not a poor analogy at all.

Wilful ignorance. I'm done discussing this with you. The vaccine has caused death/serious illness. There are people who CANNOT take the vaccine in case of serious illness/death.

Hence terrible analogy.

After the shambolic "search" under Dowling, Im very happy with Ismaël especially with the aforementioned gone from the club. A fresh start with an up and coming gaffer.

I just love this. A different angle which highlights how selfish it is to not have the jab for any reason other than one that is health related.

The act of putting on a seatbelt will not cause the wearer any harm/kill them. There is no need to locate the people who would die or suffer just by putting it on.

There are other reasons it's a poor analogy but this is enough to get the point across.

I disagree with lockdowns now and am not scared to disagree out loud. But the reason  we are locked down now is because of selfish people refusing the jabs i also disagree with that and so do a lot of other people who are not scared to disagree out loud.

This isn't true mate. Hence the problem with your entire standpoint from my perspective.

The short term affects off having the jab have made me a reasonable, sensible person who as got some patience and listens to other people instead of arguing and going off on one 😀

And that's absolutely fair. You've done your own risk assessment and decided to go ahead with vaccination. My issue is the dangerous groupthink that anyone who hasn't come to the same conclusion is selfish or the enemy.

Your correct, there are limitations and Jacko is wrong, suggesting it cannot be done. Accurate, dividends are paid from profits. So it depends how your structure the accounts. If Lai was being completely unethical he could sell off all of our best players, get all the transfers fees in, reduce the wage bill, declare a big profit and pay it all out to himself in a dividend. There is nothing in company law to stop him doing that. Alternatively, he could just declare himself an employee of the company and give himself a huge salary. Obviously it would be an outrage and to be reasonable to Lai, he isn't that sort of owner.

He can't do this. Mostly because it's unfeasible to sell the entire playing squad for enough money to even generate a profit after expenditure and clearing existing debts and also because any dividend is split among ALL shareholders.

Paying himself a salary as Peace used to do would be entirely possible. But a couple of million a year isn't asset stripping.

This selfish shout again. We're miles down the rabbit hole here aren't we? The propaganda machine has really done a number on a worrying amount of otherwise reasonable, intelligent people.

The long term affects of getting this vaccine are entirely unknown.

I mean those who can't be jabbed because of the reasons I stated

I know what you meant. Zorb ball perhaps?

Someone with a greater business knowledge than me may say otherwise, however I believe dividends are paid to the shareholders of a company out of profits or reserves. So, a loss making company with no reserves cannot pay a dividend. As such how would Lai pay himself as big a dividend as he likes?

He can't.

If you was over a certain age that is, its only this week its all adult ages, and even then its only single jab for at least 8 more weeks

Oh you mean right now. In that case make your own risk assessment... if you think you may catch COVID from a passing stranger and 0.03% is too high risk, carry on hiding under the bed until Boris tells you to come out.

What if they an have auto-immune disease or are immunosuppressed?

Then don't get jabbed?

Which I understand, but the other side of that is that person it wont touch or harm, passing it on to some unsuspecting stranger who it does hurt, etc. The risk doesn't start and end with the individual, the vaccine gives a good case of herd immunity as shown in the previous post by Section 5. I agree, no one knows the long term effects, but how bad could it/ would it be now if we didnt have the vaccine roll out.....

The other person (unsuspecting stranger) in your scenario is free to get double jabbed...

Perhaps a lot more people think the same but are to worried to agree. I have had enough of living the way we have been for the last 16 months and it is time to make some decisions.  What difference will it make if anyone challenges it? It's my thoughts and my feelings and it doesn't matter what people on here say that won't change how i feel.

That's the worry, that other people think the same (hence no posts challenging you). You've been fully indoctrinated by project fear, yes it's a nasty illness in the very elderly but people have to die of something, eventually. Unvaccinated people aren't keeping the country locked down. Mental zero-Covid scientific advisers are via the government.

You are literally suggesting internment camps for perfectly healthy people with a 0.03% chance of a bad outcome from an illness where the most vulnerable have all been given as much protection as is available.

Do you know what would really ease the burden on the NHS? Refusing treatment to the obese, smokers and people who drink alcohol or take recreational drugs. But no one in their right mind actually thinks that should happen.

confirmation by who though ?

Masi knows nothing unless it's written by Percy

there is nobody in control of the football side of things at the club currently either

I get the feeling Dowling may now be briefing Masi. The irony.

People refusing the vaccine should be refused hospital treatment if they get covid.  And i know they can't but they should make it law that you have got to have it and if not then seggregate them from the one's who have been vaccinated like in a leper colony. I've had enough now of these selfish people who are putting people at risk and taking up hospital beds when people with other problems need those beds and putting the NHS back under pressure.

Mate I genuinely don't know where to start with this. It's also very concerning this comment has been up for over an hour and hasn't been challenged.  :-X

Not listening to the pod, but the opinion piece he wrote the other day read like a job reference you forge for a mate who's got the sack. If he didn't have any sources before he definitely hasn't now.

Are you among those who doubt what a truly terrible disease this is and how many lives it has totally devastated? We have been through an incredibly difficult time for 15 months plus now, what’s another 4 weeks in the scheme of things? More jabs in arms means more people safe.

I'm one of those people that understands correlation.
