I'd buy the home one.

The other pair I wouldn't wipe my xxxx on. Amongst our worst kits ever, except anything red.

I could handle the yellow and blue as a third kit, especially if it had pinstripes as I mentioned earlier. As for red the last Albion top I had was the red Adidas Bodog sponsored shirt which was bought for me. It was ok.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

if stripes truly matter, how many do there need to be before they can be considered in line with our identity, is there a fixed thickness? The much loved thick stripes of the 70’s were a complete departure from the 100-odd years of kits that went before it, yet to some it’s quintessential.

Its not about what it is, its about what it represents.
So what changes are ok before its not the Albion any more? As I said before if stripes don't matter then neither does the colour. To me its like if Liverpool changed their home kit from Red to Blue. Its a complete departure but so what. Seems to me that it is this lack of regard that has led to some thinking relegation is not quintessential to football.

you are aware Liverpool started with a blue kit? Looked like Blackburn’s.

or conversely do you want to try the traditional kits we had before we settled on blue and white? How does claret and blue sound to you?

Next time you bump into a Liverpool fan say to them your theory that it wouldn't matter if they changed back to playing in blue and let me know what their reply was.

1942-1947. We played without stripes because plain material was cheaper and easier to come by as a result of wartime shortages. I have no idea whether other teams followed suit at the time but definitely remember reading that as an explanation for us doing away with the stripes back then.

Do you mean "yellow steps" as in WV postcode?

Now that was fun  :)

why do I care about Liverpool fans’ opinions, their kit constantly changes shade and pattern and they don’t notice.

This is about the Albion and at the root of this, you’re upset because the middle stripe of 3 is too thick.. that’s it. Nobody is changing colours, or changing the name. It’s a slightly wider stripe.

I've only just seen the 'digital' picture of the three kits, my phone didnt show it earlier.

In that picture of the home shirt it doesn't look as bad as the imagine circulating where it looks like Bartley is wearing it.  The digital version it looks closer to stripes, where as the perspective of the Bartley image makes the centre blue look much wider and more dominating of the shirt.

So it sounds pedantic but for me it really will depend in reality on the thickness of the blue when which we need more images off. It isnt dissimilar to the reverse of why i didnt like the pinstripe, even though technically you could say it was blue and white stripes.

I'm not having that one big thick blue panel is just a thick stripe, we all know what shouts West Brom and what doesn't.

Here you go

Dan try to ignore 1881 and 1884 and you were right about 1942 - 1947

2005 2006 is a close one to what seems to being proposed

I replied in reference to a specific five year period in our history as mentioned in the post I quoted and gave the reason why. I never stated it was the only we didn't play in stripes. I'm very familiar with the historical kit site you've linked. I hope the podcast takes off by the way  ;D .

It’s worth looking at the different variations that Southampton have had recently and they have ‘stripes’ like us.

They did away with stripes entirely for a couple of seasons...gasp!

This Blues thing is actually starting to annoy me. Keep it up and you and me going to be stepping outside.  ;D.

First point Blues have a completely different shade of blue that completely transforms any kit.

Second point, Blues wouldnt wear stripes. Well, that have, Villa have, Southampton, Coventry, Stoke etc all have interchanged between stripes and non stripes.

Third point, we havent worn stripes right throughout our history, we've worn a variety of kits including all white with red socks during the 68 cup run.

As long as we are navy and white, at home, I can live with it although obviously I'd prefer stripes.

I'm actually more annoyed that the yellow / green has gone.

Told you lot before, I need to run the club. We'd have none of these problems then.  8)

Absolute disaster as well. Diagonal pattern etc. The problem is marketing/PR whizzkids trying to be over creative. Wonder what the Saints fans think.

Really like the home kit, black kit reminds me of Croatia national team away kit while third is homage to Arsenal for some strange reason.
