Starting 2021 and the winners of the League/Carabao Cup are granted a place in this prestigious competition.

The third tier of European competitions ranking beneath the Europa League.

Reads like a broadened rehash version of the Anglo Italian Cup, albeit at a higher level. Could be a chance for some lucky club to embrace the delights of a snow bound stadium in the hopefully post Covid depths of winter. Brrrrrreak out the mittens.

Can you imagine seeing Albion in Europe? Even if it ended up just being one game against a naff team, it's still European football. I'd love it, whichever competition it was in.

The rate we're going, they'll keep inventing cups so eventually each club can claim to have won something. Don't be surprised if lots of clubs rest players so they are fit for more important matches at the weekend.

I went to Malmo for a friendly and the tournament in Arnhem over pre season and it was great and that’s not the real thing.

Followed England for about 5 years and from those experiences the more obscure the better so this tournament sounds perfect
