Players who have played for all midlands clubs?
« on: September 01, 2015, 01:07:33 PM »
On the back of Lescott signing for Villa its got us talking about players who have done the Midlands round robin.

So, the full house would be: Albion, Wolves, Blues, Villa and Walsall whish is unlikely. There must be someone who has done the big four though, but we can't think of anyone. can any of you lot? Best we can get are players on hat-tricks.

Kevin Phillips: Albion, Blues, Villa
Lescott: Wolves, Albion, Villa
Don Goodman: Wolves, Albion, Walsall
Ridgewell: Villa, Blues, Albion
Gardner: Villa, Blues, Albion

Beacuse they're rubbish.

I just genuinely didn't consider them. Albion, Blues, Wolves, Villa all have a interwoven history with Walsall being the baby brother of them all.
Coventry are just like....over there somewhere. Half-cousins or something. Can include if you like, but trying to find a player whos played for all six clubs would surely be impossible.

cheers was just wondering what your criteria was.  agree finding someone who'd played for all 6 would be hard/impossible.

Regis would have done 4 though..us, villa, cov, dingles.

Tony Morely

John Paskin

Boring factoid.
Tony Morley played for the same boss at each of his Midland clubs.
Ron Saunders at the Vile, a short loan spell when Saunders was Blues boss and then later at Albion.

Boaz Myhill came through the system at the Vile, signed for us and had a loan spell at the Blues.
Mark Kinsella played for the Vile, Albion and later Walsall.
Ridgewell Vile, Blues and Albion.

It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

Anybody played for all of the West Mids clubs?
« Reply #16 on: October 29, 2019, 10:08:09 PM »
Just watching The Debate on Sky Sports.

Lescott’s on there and it got me thinking about his times at Wolves, Albion & Villa.

Has anyone also played for Blues as well as the other 3?

I know Gardner has Villa, Albion & Blues.

Regis has Albion, Villa & Wolves.

Anyone got the lot on there CV?
