Don't lower yourself to comparing Pereira to JWP. JWPs performance at the hawthorns was nothing compared to MPs at Stamford Bridge.

Go back to the Pogba and Hazard comparisons. Even De Bruyne couldnt do in the champions league final against Chelsea.

The decline in Matheus Pereira's abilities to bit part player who plays in spurts when he feels like it has been truly dramatic, epic even. Most talented Albion player I've seen for many a year has fallen from jewel in the crown status to he's not all that. This thread is making for highly unusual reading the further it goes.

I'd take issue with the OS and official Twitter account over the description of him as physical. His running stats stack up and he's a decent enough player with a cracking shot, but from what I've seen it's unlikely he'll be muscling anyone off the ball any time soon. The Wendy's have quite rightly laughed the suggestion off.

My ticket arrived earlier this morning apparently. Credit where it's due, just under a 24 hour turn around from an over the phone order to delivery.

Which is about how long it felt I was online for when trying to renew our season tickets. Sort the ticket site please Albion.

An online purchase should always be quicker and easier than waiting in a call queue. It really isn't expecting too much.

Said at the time that Celtic made a mistake appointing Nick Hammond. Sloppy player recruitment and a lazy managerial appointment. I can only assume Pardew didn't fancy hopping over the wall meaning Hammond plumped for the re appointment of Lennon given his previous.

I never understood the rationale when we appointed Hammond much less Celtic. They're still picking up the pieces following his departure. Funnily enough Arsenal were reported to have an interest in him whilst at Reading. Must have one hell of an interview/presentation technique..... and agent.

Any news on tickets for this? It's under 2 weeks away now yet the site says "Details regarding match tickets for the 2021/22 season will be announced in due course"

Yes, they'll be releasing information in due course...... apparently  ;D .

What has Luke said?

That the tone of Valerian Ismael's comments re Pereira have changed.....

'Such a shame Matheus Pereira's spell at Albion is seemingly set to end on a sour note.

Real U-turn in comments from Ismael on him, who hailed his professionalism previously.

The best player I've seen during my time covering the club. #wba #baggies'.

Bloke can't do right for doing wrong  ;D .

Get over the bitterness chaps, he's going without a doubt.
For me, thanks Matt hope you do well wherever you go, but go quickly so that we can re-invest the money in our team.

That's how I see it. Wish he was staying but it doesn't appear to be the case. He's given us some damned good times. All of the best Matheus so long as you never play for the Vile (or Wolves for that matter). If he wants out or the club want him gone to provide funds get it done in a reasonable time frame to a fee which allows us to move on.

Had a very enjoyable day out. Pre match beers ordered from the bar. Good to see a lot of familiar faces with a win thrown in. More beers after the game too with a curry to finish the evening off. Good day all around  8) .

Bit rude when you are on 5/6 figures per week and you can't be bothered to keep yourself sharp iif only for the next club and out of appreciation for the club paying your wages.

Agreed, on the plus side at least Matheus Pereira's still training and keeping sharp (but not match sharp obviously) whilst still at Albion though  ;D  ;) .

Harry Kane not shown up for Spurs training. He believes he has a gentlemens agreement to leave since last summer.  Info from Gilmour (Sky) and Romano

Gentleman's agreement or not, if this is correct that's very unprofessional..... especially from someone widely acknowledged to be a model pro'....... and Spurs 'frew and frew'.

As far as I'm aware he's still in full training. Seems a little unusual for a player who's allegedly playing his face, as does his attendance at the squad photo shoot the other day.

As I see it the club and player have agreed he won't play until his transfer is sorted as it's mutually beneficial for him not to get injured.

Until someone can provide me with a link to where it says he's refusing this that or the other or there's been a training ground meltdown it's all just internet waffle to me. Any informed ITKers on here today please?

That's an awful lot of money for someone when City are being linked with Haaland and Kane.

I couldn’t help but laugh.

Awful system

Finally got through. Whilst waiting as number nine in the queue access to the tickets was granted. Got onto the seating plan, chose my seat, went to pay and got an error code. Tried again and got locked out.

Good job I stayed in the call queue as the ticket got sorted straight away. Thanked the phone operator and hung up. Went to log out of the ticket site and was again offered access to the seating plan.

Very strange set up. And now I can't log out of my account for love nor money. Complete farce. All of the very best at the jumble sales by the way  ;D  ;) .

Well here we go. Got the loyalty points but the site's showing it as restricted offer so I can't access it (farcical). In the call queue at number 20 on the fourth attempt since ringing from bang on 10am.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Grealish situation.......Seen hundreds of posts on Twitter second guessing what he will do,.....The one good thing from this all is, I’ve seen some villa fans already turn on him, calling him a money grabber, diver, another delph etc etc. Saw one fan call him a coward because he’s taking the ‘easy’ option in winning trophies with city which will be ‘pointless’ as opposed to staying at villa and building a legacy  ;D ;D......

My thoughts centre around the utter hilarity of the Viler meltdown. Read a Twitter post from a City supporter earlier where the bloke sympathises with Blues and Albion supporters having to deal with Vilers all the time. He ended his tweet with the following observation of Vilers. 'These people are not normal'.....

....... they've been ripping into the W(itton) anchors for days  ;D .

Russell Martin appointed as new gaffer at Swansea

Meanwhile...... Swansea's players release their wives from a number of locked cellars whilst simultaneously removing their chastity belts upon the news that John Terry is NOT the new gaffer at Swansea.

If only matches against Chelsea were the only yardstick. We’d get £150 for Callum Robinson.

Harsh, we'd definitely get more than £150  ;) .

Barcelona have apparently weighted a fair chunk of Messi's contract towards the end of his time there to balance the wage bill...... for now....... a bit....... whilst kicking the can down the road wearing a blindfold and whistling a merry tune in hope. An 'I can't see you so you can't see me' kind of thing. Fur coat and no knickers. Shameless shysters.

Best player leaving, poor goalkeeper staying... awful.

I don't know what you're worrying about. With Townsend and Furlong the creators as marauding wing backs it's highly unlikely our goal line custodian will face balls into the box from open play on the counter to our high press.

Nothing to see here, everything will be fine whomever our number one is..... sit back, relax and enjoy the fun as our forward line helps itself to a glut of goals against inferior opponents who can't hope to compete with our wage bill.

It's going to be strange going for pre match beers in a number of pubs (perhaps)....... my head's going to hurt tomorrow  ;D .

.......However, it has been said the the club will announce some dividends will be paid and that these dividends will be used by the holding company to pay the loan back........

I'll start by acknowledging I'm no financial wizard. But if this is a doable thing I can't be alone in thinking it would have been better to do this when we had £40,000,000 sloshing about in the coffers at the start of the Pulis/Pardew relegation season.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. So is forward planning and paying off a loan before it gathers more interest. Too early for me to be thinking and I've finally got a game to go to. Here's hoping the rain holds off.

Sarcasm? Moi? Nothing wrong with charity shops and jumble sales mate and both will be up and running for a rummage soon. The wardrobe update you've been longing for isn't far off. Happy hunting mate ;D .
