Leeds ahead and keep pushing Burnley to get a 3rd and 4th.

I thought it was normal to keep getting pushed deeper and deeper when ahead...

We should really have pipped Leeds to the title last season. However he we are with less than half the points that they have. Someone on here tipped them to struggle too!

Regarding Bielsa burnout lockdown came at a good time for Leeds United last season. Remember reading about their preparations for the return. Impressive stuff. As for any burnout this time around they've played eight league games fewer this season.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

It was incredible we got promoted at all, while Leeds were easily the best team in the division, so I don't get how you can say we should have finished above them.

I know exactly what he meant. For a good chunk of last season we were every bit as good as them and it’s scary to see how things have panned out since, from our point of view at least.

I remember walking out the Swansea home game in December 19 thinking that’s one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from an Albion side.

Ever since then it’s just been pretty rubbish to be honest

I was there for this and the return game in Swansea just before lockdown. Polar opposites.

Sheff Utd leading against Everton. Could work in our favour - results may convince theit board to give the job to Heckingbottom full time despite his ordinary managerial career to date.

Short memories at Sky. A couple of weeks ago the big 6 needed scraping from shoes according to the presenting team. The vvankfest was in full force yesterday after the Liverpool victory.

Brighton have entered into a partnership with Hibernian which I would imagine is designed to help them get around work permit issues.

A few forward thinking clubs doing this now.

Are the Scottish Work permit rules that different to England? I would have thought that was something without any devolved powers and still sat in Westminster.

the SFA’s regulations, if you have the time to check. Look similar to ours at a cursory glance.

Surely a League of Ireland team would be better... CTA and all that.

I think they already have a Belgian link up for that

Not 100% sure on the nitty gritty but the article I read suggested the link ups they are developing are to help them in the post Brexit climate, it is possible however they didn't explain it very well and conflated the different partnerships including the Belgian link up they have.

I know the English rules have been developed by our FA and the government to take into account the needs of the English game but the Scottish FA are negotiating their own.

A quick look on the internet suggests the Scottish FA and the home office have agreed an extension to sign EU players through to the end of the summer window 2021 before confirming their own model so I'd imagine the expectation is that the Scottish permit rules will be "kinder" than the English ones.

Telegraph Football Tweeted

Harry Kane tells Spurs he wants to leave the club this summer - and ideally stay in the Premier League

That puts us out the running then 😊
