No comments to other posters like “get a life” Standaman as he has said is talking about a twitter account that posted as if “in the know” 2 hours after the Express and Star article was posted.

Let's hope today's the day then guys. We're at a point where it looks even closer than Wagner.

I'm so excited by this appointment and that i've invested time in learning about somebody's tactics that is finally going to be worth it!

Sometimes appointments just feel right, this is one of them. I also felt the same about Mowbray and Di Matteo so fingers crossed it’s the hatrick!

I was looking it at from promotion prospects only, not overall WBA career.

That would be a great way of sending off mixed emotions to people. Great exciting appointment. Dodgy one stripe kit with weird red trim going over the back of the shoulders and the band at the bottom of the arm. Good old penguin strips.

I am torn on this, Barnsley were awful to watch and we dont want that version. If he is capable of changing his style to suit our better level of player then great.

I really do hope he is a success and he will get my backing.

I will be honest I wanted Steve Cooper.

If our new man is backed and can not be total direct football, he will get my backing.

I doubt we'd have got Cooper. Think it'll take a premier league team to lure him from Swansea.

According to Masi in the E & S, Ismael favours playing with attacking wing backs, which gets a massive thumbs up from me. Looking at the Dutch and German teams in the Euros, their use of attacking wing backs has paid dividends,  I think in all their goals.
Of course, you need players in those positions who will deliver, ie get in behind their opposite numbers, and deliver dangerous crosses, so there is a slight question mark of how effective Furlong and Townsend would be.

Much as everyone, me included, just wants to get it over the line, that's a legitimate issue. Its partly what held up the Grant transfer for so long, because we couldn't pay up front (though in Grant's case we would have been better saving the entire transfer fee).

I can't see the E&S reporting it, just the Football Insider which doesn't seem much more than a click bait site

Is this site as bad as the other that’s reporting this?

I read they are paying the comp out of the transfer funds… so surely there should be no issues.

Probably a rehash.

Masi tweeted this in reaction to fan asking him to calm fans down regarding the lack of announcement.

No need to panic. Everything I'm hearing is that it's just minor details being ironed out. You just can't announce until it's all sorted.

It's football insider throwing it out there to squeeze a few more clicks out of our manager search. In the meantime here's a few comforting words from my favorite ITK tweeter account

No hassle over the compensation fee that’s not a problem. Contracts are long, Albion in no rush, as always. But everything is fine and there’s no worries about this not happening

There you go nothing to worry about contracts are long a bit like O'Shea's balls apparently 8) They might even be right even a blind squirrel sometimes finds the nuts.
