Does anybody regret us getting rid of Bilic ??

I was against his sacking anyway. We were never going to survive last season.
If he was still here at least we would have some stability and be in a better position to have a good crack at promotion again next season.
As it is now with the manager contenders, mid table at best. Depending who the manager is it could even be a relegation fight.

To answer your question and still keep it relevant to this thread, I only regret we didn’t part company with Bilić in July 2020 after the 19/20 season wrapped. Had we done that and appointed Allardyce at that time, I doubt we’d be in the position we’re in now. Sure, Allardyce may have still left at the end of the 20/21 season regardless but we’d be a much more attractive proposition in our search for a new manager right now.

He was responsible for most unfit and tactically disorganised team I’ve ever seen play for us at PL level.

But then again, he used to show lots of passion and desire in post match interviews, lot of good that did.

You only have to look at the mess he left West Ham in to see how limited Bilic is a manager.

If the owners or DoF had insisted on a fitness coach and a defensive coach, then i'd ave liked Slav to have stayed to motivate the players and be a good public face for us.

But we lost an enormous amount at the end of matches and at this level that's unforgivable. He deserved to be sacked, no matter how much he was likeable.

I would urge the board to step back for a few days and start again rather than make a massive mistake and try to appoint someone quickly to cover the mess we are in. We must all remember the enormity of this appointment and a few more days won't mean a lot, if we take on the wrong guy it will take years to turn it around.
I am really worried they will rush someone in just to get it done but I really hope they take stock or even get the man in who is a no brainer and thats Wilder for me.

Can’t see any candidate other than Wilder but I actually started to warm to the idea of Wagner when I looked more deeply into his pedigree. However, Lai will not lose face and appoint Wilder. This would go completely against Chinese business culture. He will not back down no matter what it costs him.

Top man and I really hope he makes it in management but no I wouldn’t back any young manager with limited experience to manage us at the moment. Fan expectation will be high and the board seems divided. It will take a very strong and experienced manager to get us through this tricky time.

I went to an evening with Slaven at the Hawthorns and anyone who was there would have thought wow this is the man great character and warmly received by everyone there. but the cracks started to appear at Christmas and for me his time was up at Huddersfield away it was a disgraceful performance in the circumstances . It was a must win game and we were garbage

I was delighted to see the back of Pulis & Pardew, disappointed when Big Dave & Slaven were sacked and wanted Sam to stay. I desperately want some stability, purpose and an attempt to play football fit to watch, like most fans. McInnes? NO! Neil? Uninspiring but just the kind we go for. Think I'll close my eyes until it's all over and avoid the pain and embarrassment.
