Their fans really liked him and he was definitely one of their better players over the years - so I think they would welcome him back. Sadly though, I imagine he'll sit out his final year here as they wouldn't be foolish enough to pay similar wages to us.
I've no idea whether you're both aware of this but Liam had a romantic attachment in Sheffield, he watched a lot of Wendy games when he was there and remained friends with a number of their supporters.
As such he probably has greater insight for Adam Reach and his relationship with Wendy's than many of us on here do. As an aside he's also good mates with Sheffield Wednesday's Tango.
In the meantime I'm confident Tango wasn't Liam's said romantic attachment. Well, I'd like to think not anyway. The potential mental imagery will nonetheless haunt me forever
