For match fitness.

you are allowed 4 over age players in the squad (including a goalkeeper) because there are no reserve games anymore.

Not much to debate, sh!* today and Fulham werent much better. Handed the game by poor defending and schoolboy antics. On to next week.

Not sure there is much else to say. Shot ourselves in the foot.

Move on.

He has now! Bloomin good one too!

Being third has increased (some of) our arrogance

It might have but I don't think its been seen in this thread. I don't see anyone tearing us to pieces like the world has ended.

Our good start didn't make any loss undebatable.

Just been one of those games. 10 men ruined us really, which is why it's so frustrating.

Yeah id go along with that. Can't plan for individual stupidity and I generally think we would have had our chances and our spells if Pete hadn't lost his head.

People are sayng how bad we are but Foster is yet to make a save.

Me thinks some have forgotten how to lose.

Fulham aren't playing particular well either and since the penalty they've not had to push things.

Maybe we aren't awful but we have generally been quite poor and untidy.

Yep. Some points from today that are becoming a familiar pattern.
3. We are starting to look very predictable in our setup away, wish we would change things around a bit to make it harder for teams to set up against us. Fulham knew our game plan to a t today.

not sure you can say that, its only our second away game. We started sloppily and after 20 mins it just didnt seem like it was going to be our day but we didn't even get chance to pick up after Pete lost it.

It did!

Someone said earlier Fulham were the most narrow team. Is it the most narrow pitch?

It looks really congested.

1-0. :-/

The first Olsson tackle was supposed to be a block in my opinion, I think he was expecting a first time shot and throwing his body in the way.

It isn't his position what is gone. Just the man currently in the role.

Who's to say someone else decent wouldn't have spotted the same good players and maybe one or two more? DA has been brill for us. But the network and plans are still in place. It's not like he's moving to another club to steal our system. It's the FA.

I don't blame him for going and I'm happy as an Englishman that we're putting better suited people in positions.

I'd be amazed if JP doesn't have a plan for this. Maybe promote the number 2 and then fill his role? Plus DA isn't trying to screw us. If he works 2 months of his notice, then he can make plans for once his gone.

This could have gone much worse!

It doesnt seem to me like people tend to last in the top jobs at the FA for very long, the names always seem to change.  I know DA's job is likely to be a longer term project but I still wouldnt be surprized if hes back at a club in 5 years.

Id say there is a good chance he will take our system somewhere at somepoint.

When he didnt even make the bench in the 2nd round I thought his days here were numbered because I hadnt seen anything about an injury and he was in the squad before hand.

Ive never seen him play though. Nearly 21 though so he desperately needs games somewhere.

1 year deal from what I've read. Don't think he'll do too much to be honest after 3 injury blighted seasons. I was surprised to read that he'd got 17 in 54 apps for Man Utd ...that's a goal every 3.2 games.....think he'll spend a lot of time at Stoke on the injury list.

Im surprised by that as well. Its harsh to say its 3.2 games as well considering I bet in terms of minutes its probably closer than 17 in 17 than it is 17 in 54.

If stoke can get him on the pitch he will pop up with a few.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Romelu Lukaku (On loan from Chelsea)
« on: September 03, 2012, 06:21:10 PM »
From his interviews I imagine he will push to stay if he's getting good game time which you would think he would be.

Obviously if Chelsea need him desperately theres not much we can do but if he is asking to stay then it might swing it in our favour if they are just considering it. He obviously wasn't happy on the bench and it could be the end of his Chelsea career if he goes back and ends up on the bench for another 6 months.

General Football & Sports / Re: Dingle watch - Anything Wolves
« on: September 03, 2012, 02:02:08 PM »
I love it how they keep bringing up the fact that they have won more things than us realistically the cups that fans look for i.e european cups, winning the championship in the top league and f.a cups they have won 1 more than we have. No doubt the'l bring up that mighty league championship from the Fourth Division sorry lads we haven't dropped that low before.

Wolves - 3
Albion - 1

The difference between 3 championships to 1 and 2 each was 4 points in the 1953/54 season.

Despite what both sides like to think, the clubs are basically the same size. That may change in the future, but for the first 125 years of existence there hasn't been much in it.

West Ham Fulham on in a bit.

If everything Jack Collison is going to say is so obvious then he should shut up - so annoying!

I must be in a bad mood today!

As always Hindsight will be amazing, but it does look very good.

My only niggle as well is that we didn't sign a centre half but that suggests to me that Clarke rates Dawson.

why have no other top clubs come in for him ?  From the San Siro to Loftus Road what a fall from grace that is.

Van Der Sar did very similar at the same age and went from Juve to Fulham!

Indeed mate.

Bit like goals on sunday for me - great with Mick Mccarthy and Joe Jordan but terribly tedious with Michael 'let's talk about my horses and wealth for the whole show' Owen!

Completely agree. You don't want media friendly answers or bull we all know anyway.

The Peterborough chairman pulling up the agent is the sort of stuff that makes it interesting.

Yeah it's a bit hit and miss for me. Last week was decent with Appy in the mix, but the week prior to that was awful.

I can imagine how interesting it is does depend on the guests, but for me watching for the first time this week its a really interesting bunch. Hope they can keep it up.
