Ex-Albion wild card Somen Tchoyi has joined Wolves on trial.

Attacking midfielder or winger Tchoyi, who is without a club after being released by Albion in May, trained at Compton on Thursday and Friday and with the development squad on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Cameroon international could win a deal if he impresses, with Wolves trying to strengthen the wide areas after injuries to Slawomir Peszko, Razak Boukari and Stephen Hunt.

Tchoyi, who still lives in the Birmingham area and had a stint training with Blues in August, scored eight goals in 47 games for Albion over two seasons.

I'll tell you what, if the Wolves do sign him up, he'll be a good acquisition. He'd look a world beater in the championship to be honest. That was the thing, on his day Tchoyi was a beast, remember his hatrick against the geordies? Shame he was never consistant enough but then again that's what separates the top players, consistancy.

He was a bit yeah  :D He only played 26 games, thought it was more than that.

Also a cousin of Joey Barton but I wouldn't hold it against him.

Is little Colin Suggett still on the planet? He was a record signing for us at the time as I recall?

Anyone know the whereabouts of Filipe Texeira- one minute being suggested as a target for Arsenal, etc, then knee injury, never really seemed to recover.

Oh my god, whatever did happen to him? (rhetorical question as someone already posted a response to this)

I remember him having ability it was a shame really, he never really did recover then he could never work his way back in the team. I guess it shows how far we've come in recent years that we can talk about a player like Texeira, who at the time was one of our most skillful players (at the time) and see it as old news. Which I guess it is really.

Saw Ally Robertson selling BMW's on the Wolverhampton Road Oldbury a couple of years ago. Met him buying strimmer wire as well at the B&Q Warehouse on mucklow hill about 2 years ago.

Does anyone know the where abouts of Ken Foggo and Dick Kyriswiki(This spelling can't be right) both these players were fringe players but I always thought they did a good job when called!

Dick was a Welsh international and did he score at Maine Road when we beat them 2-0 when City won the league in 68?
I asked my dad 'why was I born a Albion fan & not a wolves fan?' He said 'son we are all born Albion fans but some get dropped on their heads when young!'

and then they appoint a bloke with no managerial experience to replace him in Graham Alexander. Seems more to it to me than just results.

First I've heard about Neil Clement for a while, not exactly good news though;

Jockey Eddie Ahern will face a corruption inquiry after being charged with serious breaches of racing's rules.

Ahern, 35, and five other individuals must attend a British Horseracing Authority (BHA) disciplinary panel.

Racehorse owner Neil Clement, 34, a former West Bromwich Albion defender, is one of those charged.

Ahern is accused of passing on inside information and stopping a horse running on its merits.

The others under investigation are James Clutterbuck, the son of Newmarket trainer Ken, and three individuals without licences - Paul Hill, Martin Raymond and Michael Turl.

Irishman Ahern, who is is charged in relation to five races held from September 2009 to February 2011, has ridden more than 1,000 winners in Britain.

Clement made more than 250 appearances for West Brom, including four seasons in the Premiership, but was forced to retire in January 2010 due to a knee injury.

Ahern is alleged to have stopped his mount Judgethemoment running on its merits at Lingfield racecourse in January 2011.

He is also accused of giving inside information, including for reward, to Clement and/or others.

Clement is charged with using inside information to place bets, breaching the rules by laying (backing against) his own horse Hindu Kush, and failing to provide requested details to the BHA.

He is also alleged to have conspired with Clutterbuck, the assistant trainer and owner of racehorse Stoneacre Gareth, while the other three are accused of placing bets having obtained inside information.

The hearing is scheduled to take place between 29 April and 3 May, 2013.

Three footballers were among a group charged by the BHA in October over an investigation into suspicious betting activity.

Ipswich's Michael Chopra, Nottingham Forest loanee James Coppinger and ex-Manchester United player Mark Wilson and six others - including jockey Andrew Heffernan - are also accused of serious breaches of the rules of racing.

Their hearing is scheduled to start on 14 January.

Kyle Patterson, released from our academy, has been at LA Galaxy but now at Worcester City on loan from Nuneaton. Bit of a culture shock I'd imagine!
