Considering the stagnant transfer market and lack of movement by many other clubs (excluding QPR) then I think we've done decent business so far.

However, still think we need a LB, CB cover (Ridgewell can fit in, although I'd rather he didn't) and another pacey winger.

Welcome, Markus. 10 goals this season would be lovely.

Fair play to you, I do believe you called this one last week. Any more imminent?  :P

Unfortunately nothing seriously close at the moment but I do think it's fair to say that the club are targeting players in the same positions as the fans think we need i.e. LB and CB.

Indeed - won't need to join Yacob at the English lessons. Good to hear him talk about the style of play being a factor in joining. Plenty to look forward to for the new season.

Good signing and despite my earlier asserstions to the contray (based on what I could find out from his Werder Bremer days) he is able to offer the option of playing the withdrawn striker role he will hopefully give Steve Clarke a few different attacking options.

As I intimated to in an earlier post, Scandinavians are apt to eat herring all day long. ie breakfast...herring on rye bread, lunch.....herring sandwich, tea.....herring burger/pizza,....supper, herring on herring with a glass of milk. :D

Top class signing!.....with the others if SC gets this squad to play to its potential we will be more than a match for all but the top 4 and certainly better than three other teams!

Wigan Swansea and Southampton all going to find it tough this season possibly Reading too

Welcome Markus!! Really looking forward to see him in the stripes. Gives another very good option for SC.  I've seen a fair amount of him from his Ajax days, and he was never a traditional target man, as he was more mobile. As I think Pete is better down the middle, I would think you could use Rosenberg best as a right or left sided forward in a 4-3-3. Obviously depends on the tactics , opposition etc. If you are looking for pure wingplay, he is not that type of forward, so the team might lack some width with him.
But he is good at running with the ball, and getting decent shots in, and I think he will give us a far greater goal threat than Cox or Fortune.

Really pleased with the signing, finally time to start believing again. Good performance tonight. Looks like Dawson is coming on a treat and Ali g looked sharp. The sale of cox will hopefully pay at least a year of Rosenburgs wages so good deal alround. He can't be worse than cox, loose touch, nervous and overated. Cox tried his heart out but unfortunately he has been on of the worse strikers I've seen at the club for a long time lacking in every area and no real position. I wish him all the best and hopefully he can kick on from here. If only  TM would have stayed I think we would have seen a different Simon Cox

Rosenberg isn;t a wide forward, hes never played there.

I love your post but PLEASE I'll nip this one in the bud straight away. It's RosenbErg, BERG not burg or burgh or anything else. ROSENBERG. Thank you.

I'm amazed at all the variations of Jonas Olsson that are still conjured up years after he joined!  ::) :P
