Everybody always says that it's time for fresh blood. Has anyone ever stopped to think we haven't won a tournament since '66 because we're just not good enough as a footballing nation?
We have some of the highest paid players in the world, yet we don't deliver because we aren't good enough.
We don't have any flare or skill, only speed and a 'get-in-there' attitude. That wins some matches, but when you play against Spain, Germany or any other top team, it just makes us look amateur.
I admit, we do seem to have some good up-and-comers, such as Oxlade, Henderson and Welbeck has potential, but the 'regular' players are simply not up to it.
As a nation we seem to be like Liverpool - haven't won anything for years yet feel it is somehow owed to us.
