I must be one of few who quite likes that top :)
I like it too, especially when this was made in the same time frame as the cyan. we'll probably get an alternative in the season.

I just see this as "there we gave you a red shirt now shut up while we work on the colour we want" (lol)

I like it, it's not that bad. I agree with the sentiments on here that unless you're gonna buy it, it doesnt matter if you like it. We're not going to be wearing it much anyway. Chelsea, City, Newcastle definitely. Swansea, Reading and Qpr depends on how blue our home kit looks. Can't wear it more than 8 times anyway. The cyan kit was ten times worse, and we all liked the emergency Red kit that had to be brought in.
If West Bromwich Albion didn't exist, I wouldn't love football.

It's ok but don't think I'll be buying this one. For me it's a bit too similar to the red shirt from a couple of seasons ago when we were sponsorless. The home shirt however looks the dogs so I'll stick to that one this season.

Christ almighty. The responses in this thread are ridiculous. It's like yellow steps-gate all over again.

If you don't like it, don't fork out £45 for it.
here, here, some people have got to moan about everything.

Forgive me, but how many seasons have we actually had green and yellow as an away kit? I can remember a few years during the early 2000s, and I did some googling which suggested from 89-90 to 95-96 we had variations of yellow and green, but can anyone shed light on what happened in between, and our alternate kit from earlier years.

This picture snows nearly all the kits we've ever had:

http://www.kitclassics.co.uk/kits/westbrom.png

The green and yellow stripes was the first 'set' away kit (in that it was used for more than two seasons) being used for about 10 years, those 10 years being arguably the most iconic in the club's history and worn by some of the most iconic players in the clubs history. It was used fairly frequently since then in the 80s, 90s and 2000s in between various other away kit designs. Basically it deserves its iconic status and it deserves to make a return, even as a third kit if need be.

Anyway... I really dislike the new away shirt. Despite always wanting another green and yellow stripe kit, I've been very fond of the red away kits we've had in recent years. Adidas did a really good job with last year's third kit, it looked fantastic, so I don't understand why they've changed it to something so dull, bland, amateurish looking.

Just seen the new away or alternative kit and I dont think it's the best colour combination in the world, Red and Blue just don't seem right. Just a personal opinion but I liked the all Black kit in 2010 / 11 season.

Thanks for that KP. Actually quite interesting to look back at all the strips in chrono order. I dont think this seasons away is all that bad to be honest although I thought last years was all red was excellent. Personally I would like to see us return to all white for an away strip. The 68 strip with a modern twist. Always think all white looks so smart a la Real Madrid or sort like the tennis pros at wimbledon, that always looks very smart to me

Also sending a letter of complaint to the Albion becuase just like last years Blue kit we will never wear it!

Cannot use it at...Sunderland,Villa,Southampton,Arsenal,Man United,Liverpool,Stoke,West Ham!

Why sell an away shirt that cannot be worn at away matches!

Yellow and Green and the only match we cannot use it at is Norwich!
Most cars have speedos upto and past 100 , but you can't use it?
I quite like it , and if others don't they don't have to buy it , really think we have to understand that football is a business and that shirts that can be worn down the pub with jeans sell better.
If youre gonna get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

I think the kit itself looks OK. However I can't see the logic in releasing another red kit especially one that looks very similar to the Umbro one we had a couple of years ago. I think they should have gone for something different whether that be green/yellow or something else. I really can't see many of these selling judging by the majority of comments I have read.

I think our new home shirt is good and better than last season but does anyone else think it looks better with the navy shorts and socks combo we have worn in pre season ??  (not that it matters if we carry on playing like we did today)  ;D
Peace.

I prefer the home kit having more white than blue. It distinguishes it from some other club kits where there is more blue.

rather like the black goalie top, even better as it comes in short sleeves. seemed to be selling well in the club shop saturday.
