Excellent news. Was undecided on whether to get one next season due to financial reasons. This really helps out. Another season of Premier league football and possibly now the best prices in the entire division, definately in the Midlands.

Well done to the club.

Credit to Peace and everybody else connected to this. I was unsure about renewing due to finances and possibly new job which meant I won't be going to every game. But taking out the direct debit option and will offer my ticket to anybody for a small fee for games I can't make. Great work WBA

Superb they had to do something with the attendances being down, people between 18 21 cant justify paying 400 for a ticket. u/21 prices is equivilant of £11 a match. Bargain!

Wow £50 quid. a saving of about £2 a match.  ::) Dont spend it all at once

If we are all honest the club has been very good in not increasing prices recently but this is a real effort to do two things, keep the current fanbase and more importantly to entice future generations of fans that will see us through many years to come and hopefully fill the extra capacity with the West stand rebuild. Also the direct debit option is also very important as the lump sum puts people off but to break it down month by month will also get more renewals and new applicants.

Judging by the reaction of this board and people I have spoke to this has been very well received by all and I can see us selling out well before the end of the earlybird deadline.

I make no secret of my backing of Peace but surely this is brilliant from JP and MJ?

I was stunned when I read this this morning. Incredible by the Albion, yet again. Hats off to Peace, great work (again!)

[Cynical Mode] I just hope it is not going to be a reason not to buy anyone in the summer though...

I hope the morning papers, which never seem to give us decent coverage, will at least mention this wonderful gesture so that 'fringe' fans also have the opportunity to snap up a cut priced season ticket.

For me the best thing is th direct debit.even at £350(which is good)couldnt afford to pay all that out in one go. With this direct debit plan it makes it so much easier!

It will be interesting to see what percentage of people take up the direct debit option. There is no reduction in price if you go down that route but it makes it a lot more affordable for a lot of fans this way. I imagine this will appeal to a lot of people. Also given that we may sell an extra 2000 tickets I would guess that the club still stand to bring in the same kind of money if not more. It appears to be a win win situation for all.

Great move, but on a slightly synical note it makes me think we wont be signing foster and ollson's probably on his way out with no money to replace them... (after his sky sports article)

Having said that... its a great move by the club, finally looking after the fans, leading the way in most areas of running a football club!! Good facilities, scouting, stadium expansion, another season in the prem!

Good time to be a baggie.

This will be a good excuse for Jeremy Peace not to spend big on players.
If Albion want to move forward then we should of put season ticket prices up.
I honestly dont think fans mind paying that bit extra as long as we bring in some quality signings.

Great news. Should help quite alot of fans out and attract a few more to commit for the year.

The 20,000 cap makes sense too as I think the club will look to start the expansion of the ground next summer which will probably mean a reduction in capacity for a short period. Would be a bit bad if existing season ticket holders couldn't renew their own season tickets after all.

The club would also lose a big portion of matchday ticket sales too if they were to fill the ground with just season ticket holders.

I also think Direct Debit is a major development, spreading payments across 10 months (I'm guessing August - May?). Something i shall certainly be doing.

It also makes good business sense. I'm sure those that take it up won't have to do anything to renew in future years. You'll simply get a letter stating "Your season ticket is due for renewal and the direct debit amount will be £x. Contact us if you wish to cancel". Removes administrative fees and there is an increased likelihood of maintaining your customer base / income stream.

I'm not JP's biggest fan but I can't see the transfer budget being cut. As I mentioned yesterday I'd guess a fair proportion of fans will take up the direct debit offer which means paying the extra £50 anyway. The rest will be offset by the fact that we will potentially sell an extra 2000 tickets. Individual matchday pricing will probably be adjusted too so I can't see we'll make any less money than this season. In fact I'd say we'll be better off. JP is a clever man despite what people think of him.
