2 matches not yet mentioned:

93/94 at home - remember Graham Fenton's blistering long range shot in a 2-1 victory?  I think part of the Hawthorns was being re-built at the time.

02/03 at home - we were 2 up at the break under Megson.  David Bellion came on for the 2nd half and tore us to pieces, was it Des Lyttle RB?  Anyway Tore Andre Flo and Super Kev were up front.  I think in that season Sunderland finished bottom with a then record 19 points total (later to be beaten by Super Mick with 15) lol  :P

This is a fantastic idea! Anyone who as been lucky enough to go to Twickenham and hear Jerusalem & I vow to the my country being sung from the pitch and then taken up with the crowd will know how this creates a atmosphere!
The Hawthorns as never been a fortress in the 46yrs I've followed the Albion. Things like this could & should reverse this. The Hawthorns must become intimidating if we truly want to make a mark in the premier!
I asked my dad 'why was I born a Albion fan & not a wolves fan?' He said 'son we are all born Albion fans but some get dropped on their heads when young!'

I believe that the plan is to let Emily sing the whole 5 verses of the song on her own first, then they will ask the crowd to join her when she repeats the bit that we know  :D

There are not many clubs who have a traditional anthem-lets give the young lady and the hymn the true respect they deserve.

Here's a preview of Emily singing. Maybe it will dispel any negativity towards this great idea from the club.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=4XMgXS0IrGc

I'm sure that the ground will be rocking by kick off with 24,000+ blue and white scarves swaying on the terraces to Psalm 23 led by a lovely vocal performance. :)

She sung a verse I'd never heard before on that video. I'm sure that'll go down well when everyone staggers out the pub at five to three.

Good luck to her.

'Minutes before kick off' , by that the club mean at about 2.40pm when the ground is half empty!

give it a go i say, yes it might seem a bit cheesy but the lack of atmosphere at the hawthorns is a real problem these days. the words will probably be on the screen.
Albion till i die, blue and white, the wolves are most definitely shite!

may aswell give the girl some support, negative and sarcastic responses wont help. as has been said before, the hawthorns is far from a fortress and needs to become one.

Going back to the great escape season we used to get the great escape theme music and this really helped to fire the crowd up ,as said before it's bloody quiet this year ,fair play to the club ,they know that's our anthem and at least they are trying ,

Back to business now after the highs of the Wolves game. We really could do with getting somethig here with Chelsea and Man united to follow, a run of consecutive defeats may bring us right back in the mix.
This is the time to get a home win. The players should be in such confident spirit hopefully the prospect of playing at The Hawthorns does not bring them down.

Sunderland are flying at the moment so it will be tought but if we play like we do Away from home then i believe we can do it.
