look at the penalty awarded to chelsea, are you going to say that was the correct decision? and that tackle by koncheski was only a yellow? refereeing in general this season as been shocking and they should be fined or dropped from the list if this continues if i kept making mistakes like they do in my job i would be sacked like a lot of other people on here would.

My point is this: Referee are human beings, they will always make mistakes, not on purpose but they will there is nothing you can do about that. I noticed Roy never mentioned this penalty incident, if it was that stonewall why hasnt he made more of it???
Nobody says they dont make mistakes, its more the point you come on here and defend 99.9% of everything they do.I dont care if you have Xmas dinner or chase the Easter bunny around with the Refs you know personally but you cant defend nearly everything they do.If the Ref topics bother you that much Aiden i suggest you dont post in them.

I take all of your points, but just look at it from the ref's view sometimes. Thats all.

The problem with the current crop of Referees and Assistants is they know all the rules but don't understand the game like the incident with Fortune why would he dive/fallover if there wasn't contact therefore the defender was no where playing the ball. You also get some assistants who will flag for everything and some don't flag at all it's the inconsistency  that is driving everyone mad

Aidan until referees are banned and no just demoted for constant mistakes then your friends will carry on doing just what they are doing now.

anyone else think Odemwingie was rubbish on saturday?
« Reply #436 on: January 30, 2012, 10:07:55 PM »
last piece of bad journalism on the FA Cup game comes from a Nigerian newspaper:

http://www.supersport.com/football/nigeria/news/120129/Cup_woe_for_Odemwingie

Super Eagles' attacker, Osaze Odemwingie saw his Barclays English Premier League club, West Bromwich Albion knocked out of this season’s FA Cup on Saturday after a 1-2 loss to Norwich City.

The 30-year-old was on from start to finish but was powerless to stop his side from crashing out of England’s oldest football competition after they went down 1-2 to Norwich City.

In a game monitored by SuperSprt.com, Osaze had a quiet afternoon by his usually high standards.

“We are obviously disappointed that we lost today,” Osaze told the WBA website.

“The lads gave it their all but a mistake (by 21-year-old centre-back, Craig Dawson) cost us the game. We have to pick ourselves up and fight on,” he said.

I thought he spent to much time on his backside to be honest and not enough effort or energy trying to cause problems for the Norwich back four.

Micheal Oliver will referee Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night which is live on TV.

He must have got a high mark from the assesor on Saturday else he wouldnt have got a big game like that.

When you have the likes of Uriah Rennie and co as assessors its not a surprise.

took me 4 days to get over this to bring myself on here.
fortune by streets!

defence didnt look good enough
midfield arguably our strongest department on the day didnt shine for me; dorrans and morrison had bad days at the office very bad days, thomas had a good game and looked our biggest threat mulumbu steady.
fortune best man by a mile, cox looked out of his depth
O Albion we love you

Went for Fortune, but also thought Morrison played well, had drive and at times was the only player on both sides who looked a decent Premier League midfielder.
Proud to be a Baggie. We'll be back. BOING BOING

Thanks for the memories Tony. Good luck in the future. Top man.
