Wolves striker Steven Fletcher is considering a transfer request to try to push through a move away from Molineux.
The club are playing hardball on the prospect of losing their top scorer for the last two seasons.
They insist there hasn’t been any contact from Premier League clubs or third parties enquiring about the £10m-rated hotshot, although sources say Stoke have asked about him. Fulham are also believed to be keen on the 25-year-old, while Sunderland have long been linked with the player, and there are believed to be several other clubs watching developments with interest.
No bids have come in however, and Fletcher faces the prospect of returning to Compton for pre-season training later this week with his future undecided.
Wolves have lined up a potential replacement in £2.4m Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson, who is due to arrive after his final game for Lillestrom on July 13.
But, at the moment, they are determined to hang on to their £7m club record signing, as well as Matt Jarvis.
