is gera back?
Hodgson has two options here:1) Drop a striker to make it 4-5-1 again2) Stick with 4-4-2 but drop Scharner from the midfield (nothing against Scharner but out of him or Mulumbu to be dropped it has to be him) and play an attacking midfielder in his place (Dorrans being the obvious choice). If today's game taught us anything it's that Mulumbu and Scharner as the two central midfielders in a 4-4-2 just doesn't work, it offers little or no creativity. Mulumbu and Scharner are excellent defensive midfielders, top draw, but they aren't playmakers (they aren't supposed to be), they aren't going to create things and make things happen which is what we need in the centre.Another thing is that Morrison has had enough chances now. Bar the occasional flash or brilliance he was mediocre last season, he did little against Man U and Chelsea and did very little today. He has to be dropped, if Hodgson doesn't drop him then I'll really start doubting him. Thomas has to start in Morrison's place, he'll give us proper width and will take men on (unlike Jimmy Mowbray). If not Thomas then Dorrans or Tchoyi (moved back to the wing). My team (assuming Odemwingie is still out): FosterReid Tamas Olsson Shorey Brunt Scharner Mulumbu Thomas Dorrans Long Subs: Fulop, Dawson, Jones, Tchoyi, Morrison, Cox, Fortune
Spot on mate. Only change, id leave fortune out in place of Gera.
