I echo everyone's sentiments on here, but relax lads (and any lasses present).

Pee next Monday's result up the wall and we can be 'as you were'.

Win every game and we'll definitely stay up so that has to be the aim. Use the momentum and learn lessons from the Chelsea game, like involving Robinson instead of Kanu! and go for Saints jugular. They had a big win Saturday and, though they haven't hit 40 points yet, will probably think they are safe. Take advantage from the first whistle, harass, press and get at them and force our advantage of having more to play for.
Winning breeds winning.

The only question we should be asking is "will we finish above Wo1v5s?)  ;)

Go down, as long and we go down fighting, or stay up. Not over worried to be honest the way things have panned out. But Please Please beat the vile and the wo1ve5. That IS always important. Need revenge on vile and beating dingles is icing on a sad cake, but sweet nevertheless.

That was my bad, I actually typed Wo1ve5s but deleted the e instead of the s.
Not going to change it though, that would be bad luck!

The cliche of treating every game like a cup final has probably never been more appropriate for the position we find ourselves in. Just....... keep....... on ...... winning ...... and see where it gets us. COYB  8) .
Agree entirely Dan. Odds stacked against us so nothing to lose ( so to speak) so just go out and play like we did against Chelsea and Wolves.
Oh and pick Robinson by the way, Sam......

And play both Robinson and MP close to Diagne in the centre. Let AMN do the running and Yokuslu to do what he does best. The rest will look after itself. We may not win but this gives us the best chances, and plays to our present strengths.

From now on in individual results will have a significant bearing on the final outcome.

Tonight's result has significantly damaged Fulham's prospects and improved Newcastle's.

Our chances of finishing above Fulham have improved somewhat which in itself at least gives us something to aim for.

Any very narrow pathway we have to overtaking Newcastle probably does involve Fulham beating them on the final day of the season so with that in mind it is not in our best interests for Fulham to completely fall apart from this point onwards.

Every game is a cup-final for us as we need to win most of them. I'm just praying we can put 2-3 back to back wins together and in-turn close the gap close enough with the teams above us that they crack under the pressure and momentum.

Beat Southampton and then move on to next game, think our best winning run has been four in prem. That was under Clarke I believe let's see if we can break that record.

Probably need 6 wins from 8 now. Not a prayer. It was highly unlikely anyway but that result is the final nail.

Nothing has really changed Newcastle were always going to pick up some points. We need to win tomorrow and no ground has been lost.

Yes. We blew our chances by failing to beat Newcastle, Burnley & Sheff Utd recently. Chelsea was too little too late....and what's the betting Allardyce will revert to type and go for 'safety first' v Southampton by dropping Robinson.

Their fixture list does look horrendous until the last two, but we really needed them to draw at best today.

The Newcastle win is a blow, but I hope Allardyce gets them fired up tomorrow and keeps them fired up for the following matches, until it becomes mathematically impossible.

Win tomorrow is now a must and think it forces Allardyce to play an attacking team.
