Well, VAR did it's job in ensuring the big names get their god given advantage.

The last 2 games have been big improvements on the rest of the season though.

Key is that we carry that through to games vs sides we could realistically beat.

No win in 9 games. Needs a huge change in form now.

Completely undone by the ref and VAR though.  Absolute disgrace, instead of going 1-0 up we go 1-0 down.

Players put a good shift in, they're clearly playing for Slav.  Just depressing that you can defend your heart out and just get done over by VAR.  It's a pen every day of the week - I can't see how the defender got anything on the ball at all.  If that was in the middle of the pitch it would be a free kick every single time.

I hate the Prem, its corrupt officials and big team bias.

We were robbed.  Clear penalty given then taken away.  We played well.  Gallagher and Johnstone had great games.  If we keep playing like this we will stay up.

If that tosspot ref ever sets foot in our half of the Black Country he needs to be given the Hugh le Despenser treatment.

Ignoring the penalty decision, we don’t look good going forward, very poor out wide. 6 points off Brighton in 16th already.

VAR didn’t even double check their pen. Furlong had turned his back how is that a pen

Johnstone and Gallagher both played very well.

Give me Livermore over Sawyers every time. The guy offers nothing.
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

Gutted after that. Its a shame because it seemed  like our players gave a lot and to lose like that is gutting. Thanks Bilic...for a lot

Also, no idea what we were doing at the end - just get it in the box ffs, Utd had dropped everyone back so we'd be picking up the second ball.  Don't just pass it around 40 yards out.

Headlines:

-We played well and looked the better team going in the second half.
-Robbed by ref and var.
-Much better without Livermore.
-Robinson no luck whatsoever, great shot off the bar.
-Johnstone number of very good saves; only negative this evening he isn’t capable of staying on his line to save penalties, even the penalty they scored from he jumped forward off his line so that would have been retaken for a third time had it not gone in.

110% unlucky, couldn’t expect any more from management or the team.

So much for sacking Bilic. Last two games we have been desperately unlucky. I know we have won no points so don’t need anyone to point that out, but small margins now. Keep the faith, this will turn around.

Got to take the performance levels from the last two games into the next three. Those games will define if we have a fighting chance or not.

Putting the officials to one side again a improved performance from us . Got to keep to that level against teams around us , convinced wins will come if we do .

VAR didn’t even double check their pen. Furlong had turned his back how is that a pen

Commentators reckoned you've got to try and block the ball with your hands behind your back now.  Trouble is, Furlong was jumping, you can't get any height if you jump with your arms tucked in behind you.  He's then turned his back and it's hit his hand from 12 yards.

That’s actually the worst decision using VAR that I have seen so far, and there have been some appalling decisions. 99/100 football fans would say that’s a pen, I have absolutely no idea what is going on anymore.

Similar incident in the Villa game earlier which was also a penalty. Where the hell are they getting these referees from, they are utter morons.

To be honest I thought Sawyers was awful, the guy is very lazy, doesn’t break sweat and can’t tackle.

Livermore is very limited but he offers more than Sawyers.

Very happy with lads performance. Can’t do much against a team of 15.

As I said in one of my posts, I always try to see things from both sides but how any neutral fan could watch that and say we weren’t hard done by has rocks in their head.

Toward the end of the game the commentators on Optus were saying David Coote had a good game, got every thing pretty much spot on - what a load of garbage!

Have to agree. He’s a classy player on the ball but he refuses to leave the beach. No where near the intensity required to play in the premier league. Gallagher is ten times the player he is. Krov should be ahead of him for me.

I know they aren’t supposed to but I sincerely hope Slav comes out tonight and says what he’s thinking and spares no blushes ! Stitched up by a ref the FA removed from VAR duties presumably because of bias or incompetence but allowed to referee a game in the flesh , total shambles ! Hope we can tell the FA to f;-k off next game he’s due to officiate of ours in any capacity
Difficult to say much about the performance as the red mist has descended . Seemed we had a game plan to stifle and stay in the game early . IMO we were having the better of the 2 nd half until other powers got involved after that who knows and to an extent who cares ., words I never thought I’d utter having been watching football for well over 50:years !!
